No Frills, Budget-Conscious Cabin
My wife and I recently stayed for five days, five nights at the "Long Branch" cabin in Packwood, WA. Downstairs hosts a loveseat, dining table and chairs, kitchen complete with toaster, coffee maker, full oven, dishwasher, and the bathroom. Upstairs there are two rooms, each with a queen bed. One of the beds is in a room with a door that closes, the other is in a loft space. This cabin is great for a couple and younger kids or two couples that don't mind not having complete privacy. The cabin is full of amenities we were not expecting like board games, a Blu-Ray DVD player, and a charcoal grill (at the time of our visit there was a fire ban in place). The cabin has several movies to choose from. I recommend you bring your own unless you want to watch: The Thing About My Folks, The Tooth Fairy (with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson), Source Code, Love Letters, or the original Transformers (with Shia Lebouf & Megan Fox). There is WiFi but the guest network is not password protected. Use at your own risk. There is decent 4G signal on the porch and in some random corners of the cabin. The only downside is the close proximity to the neighboring cabins. The driveway is off a small cul-de-sac where there are three other cabins visible from the porch. If you are looking for seclusion, you may find it lacking at Long Branch. The place was clean and about as close as one could ask for visiting Mt. Rainier. In town (Packwood) there are a couple of coffee shops, restaurants, and a small grocery store. Be prepared to cook the majority of your meals. The cabin has stocked all the staple cookware you may need, including a decent set of knives. Overall we really enjoyed this place. It gets 5 stars from us because it was exactly as represented: budget-friendly and close to plenty of gorgeous hiking trails. Pack a bag and enjoy yourself!

Great fun
It was a great spot overpacked a little too much! For the most part you have everything here was comfy, cozy and the owner was awsome. We will be back when its summer time to do some good fishing. Possibly be back for some snowboarding at mt rainer since it only 45 mins away

4/5 Good

Pretty Good
The property could use some updating, but it had everything we needed and location is great for visiting Mt. Rainier.

4/5 Good

Nice stay
The place was very nice for a stay of a few days. The only complaint was about the poor internet. Could not watch a full episode of a show without the internet going down.

5/5 Excellent

No cable
Everything was great, except not having cable tv.
