Tranquil Creekside Chalet @ Mt Rainier-sleeps10- Wave Wifi, Pets Welcome!

Riverfront vacation home with kitchen and patio
Our Rustic Packwood cabin has been renovated and we updated several features inside and out. We’ve recently renovated our Cabin and added several new additions throughout: *New appliances and counter tops to our kitchen *Large outdoor deck (facing coal creek), *Whir-pool stacked washer and dryer set *4K 55 inch Samsung smart TV ( featuring Hulu live, Roku, Netflix and Amazon Prime video). *Wave WiFi throughout the cabin *40” TV with blue ray in the kids bunk area- We also have a game closet downstairs featuring monopoly, Jenga, battleship, Pictionary, and a few other classics. Our cabin was built in 1964, and the previous family had 50 years of memories within this vintage chalet. After 5 years of enjoying several wonderful family ski outings, we’ve decided to share this experience with others. Be the first person or family to explore the great outdoors while staying at the Coal Creek Chalet! BASIC HOUSE RULES *Please contact me immediately if anyone within your group displays any type of flu like symptoms or temperatures. We’re more than happy to reschedule your trip at no additional cost, or refund you at 100% up until check in. Our top priority is keeping our family cabin clean and safe for our guests in order to provide the best vrbo vacation experience. Our damage deposit is 300.00$ Absolutely NO HOUSE parties on the premise. Loud music, exceeding the guest limit, Bon fires outside of the designated rock circle will result in immediate eviction and damage deposit forfeiture. *Exceeding 10 people will result in a damage deposit forfeiture as our septic system can’t handle more than 10 guests- Remember, it’s not just the flushes, it’s the showers and laundry as well. Thanks for understanding. The community has several permanent residents mixed in with folks looking for a quiet relaxing get-away. If there’s a loud party, we’ll get a call. Please only utilize the outdoor deck at campfire are til 10pm. All voices and sounds travel right over the creek and tend to keep people up. Please remove shoes upon entry and clean off any furry friends to help keep the cabin clean for our next guests. *We're pet friendly up to 2 dogs max, but please no cats. We have a cat of our own at home, but due to possible allergenic issues, we don't allow cats within our Chalet. *Our cleaning fee is set at 115$ *Check-in time is 4:00PM. Check-out time is 11:00 AM. We unfortunately can’t accommodate requests for early check-ins or late check-outs, as we have a scheduled cleaning time frame. Flushing anything other than pee, poop or toilet paper will automatically forfeit your damage deposit. You'll back up the septic system, which carries severe consequences. The minimum charge to clear a blockage is currently $300.00 as we’re limited with services in Packwood. Because of septic limitations, the maximum occupancy at this property is 10 persons, and no more than 10 people are allowed on the property at any given time. We cannot make any exceptions for larger parties. Parties of 10+ will be evicted without compensation. *Small children are not allowed on the Bunk bed ladders, or on upper bunk beds. Children (all guests) are NOT allowed to jump off bunk beds. Lastly, the upstairs French door is a FIRE EXIT only- Guests are not allowed to use the upper balcony as the door is difficult to lock, and the balcony isn’t safe. We have a new large deck at ground level that faces out to Coal Creek for your enjoyment! We provide firewood for the fireplace inside, but if you wish to burn within our designated outdoor fire-pit, you can buy bundles of wood for sale at Blanton's Supermarket in town. The Washington Department of Natural Resources often restricts the burning of fires in the summer to prevent wildfires. Burning during a ban is dangerous; the penalties are severe, and any violators will be immediately evicted without negotiation or compensation. Please consult with the local fire department regarding burn ban status before starting any type of fire. Amplified music is not allowed anywhere on the deck or in the front yard. Please be extra mindful of quiet hours that start at 10pm and last til 7am. The forest, creek and nearby Cowlitz river are breath taking. Please be mindful of your footprint, and do your part to respect and preserve this special place. Don't harm the trees, dump waste, litter, or burn anything outside of the fire ring. Bag your pet's poop every time. As the registered guest, you're required to share this information with others in your party and take responsibility for any damage(s) they might incur during your stay. THINGS TO KNOW Our property is within a stone's throw of Gifford Pinchot National Forest. Cougars, bears, bobcats, and coyotes have been seen nearby. Supervise your children and pets very closely. *We have three Arlo security cameras mounted at each of the doors, and one facing the firewood. Our cameras are only on during non-rented days as we turn them off during rented time frames. This includes weddings and receptions. Your booking is non-transferable, and no right to sublease is allowed or implied. The guest of record must be present at check-in and check-out. *BUNK BED, UPPER BALCONY WAIVER (The insurance company requires this. By booking with us, you agree to these terms and conditions.) Beautiful Location
The house was comfortable and fully stocked and thoughtful. We were a group of 4 middle aged mom-friends who needed a get away and we found the place to be wonderful. We laughed, we cried, we told great stories and the house had everything you could think of! We would definitely come back.

Perfect Location for a Trip to Mt. Rainier
Cutely decorated, fully stocked, and the perfect location for our trip to Mt. Rainier. We only visited as a family of four, but this could be a fun destination for a larger family or two families vacationing together. The kitchen was fully stocked and the house is beautifully situated on the river. The town of Packwood has a few great eateries and a small grocery store located within a 10 minutes drive from this home. This was also a very short drive to the entrance of Mt. Rainier closest to Paradise. Overall, this is a very charming and well appointed home.

Very comfortable
The beds! A couple in our party actually found the tag on the mattress so they could buy it...that's like a 7 star thing when you've been hiking all day. So many of even fine hotels miss this issue. Really clean cabin that has house type of amenities, updated dishwasher, stove, showers, etc but it's still a cabin in the good way. Owner was super responsive to questions and feedback. It is a very "quiet" type area, you will get complaints vocally past 10, but that is a bonus to some who just want quiet. No loud music playing, or people screaming deep into the night as some of these go when there's multiple rentals together.

My family said "Wow" when they walked in.
Cleanliness of property was very comforting. Quiet neighborhood with the relaxing sound of the creek and river. Kitchen and baths were well stocked for our needs. Communication with property manager was very responsive and helpful. Great place!

Cute, cozy cabin
Adorable cabin with a wonderful location on a creek near Mt. Rainier. Cabin was very clean and pantry well stocked. We visited during a hot stretch of 90+ degree days. The upstairs got very warm. We were very thankful to find four fans! We found if we opened all of the windows at night and ran all of the fans, it helped to keep the cabin comfortable the next day. We enjoyed a nice fire in the fire ring next to the creek one evening. Overall, this cabin made for a great family retreat! Highly recommend!
