Great location but expect anything amazing

Start with the good, end with the bad. Wifi was amazing, location was awesome, the hotel was extremely quiet however this could be due tot the fact that we were on the top floor and extremely close to Lancaster Gate Station. Now with the bad. The room was miniature, the carpets and walls were dirty with wallpaper peeling, the shower pressure was nonexistent and you couldn’t shower without getting the toilet wet as that’s how small everything was. Bed and pillows were also comfortable.

Convenient location close to Hyde Park and tube

Pros: Location
Cons: Facilities in rooms; no drawers, closets etc.
Location: Close to Hyde Park and transportation.
Reception staff courteous. Rooms OK..basic and bathrooms very small. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice.

Good central location

Pros: Location, good Wifi, and breakfasts.
Cons: getting the bed size and layout worked out better.
Location: The hotel well situated with bus and underground services within easy walking. There are a number of locate pubs that service a good variety of meals
Overall our stay was good - however the biggest disappointment was the room size that had the double bed against one wall that made getting in and out very difficult for a person with an injured hip. The suitcase storage under the bed made is difficult to get items out easily. The rooms were modern with a small bathroom that was well laid out. Staff were friendly and attentive. The Wifi service was very good and there were USB battery charging outlets on a number of power points in the room. The breakfast and service was excellent.

Cancer diagnosis - hotel refused to change dates

We had to cancel our week long stay because my partner's mother was disgnosed with cancer. We explained this to Expedia who were very helpful and contacted the hotel for us. The hotel refused to refund us or offer new dates despite us offering to obtain a medical certificate to prove the diagnosis, stating that the booking was non-refundable and that was that. My partner's mother then died during the time we were supposed to be staying at the hotel-only weeks after the diagnosis. I believe if the hotel had offered us new dates or a refund it would have been the right thing to do, in fact we would have ensured we returned multiple times in the future.

Pretty good hotel, great location, tiny rooms

Pros: Location. Really friendly staff. Great restaurant overlooking Hyde Park.
Cons: Didn't know the rooms would be so tiny. Needs photos of the actual room you will be staying in.
Location: Great location and activities. Good base: 10 mins from London, so very close, but just out enough to be quiet at night.
This was an excellent base to venture out from. In a really nice location next to Hyde Park in a nice neighbourhood.

Pleasant stay

Pros: Convenience and cleanliness.
Cons: No suggestions.
Location: Parks are across the street, and bus line stops are right down the street. Lots of nearby pubs and restaurants to choose from.
Stayed 3 nights, room was very clean, and staff was extremely helpful. We booked a show online and staff printed out the tickets for us without questions or charges, which was greatly appreciated.

quick weekend

Pros: my room, an executive double, was great. my brother's room, a single, was tiny with a capital T.
Cons: the restaurant had really slow service although they were very nice and accommodating to menu changes.
Location: ideal location.
the hotel was in a great location. we could walk everywhere or jump in a cab when going a bit further. restaurants and shops nearby and across the street from hyde park. i'll stay here again.
