Good location but no comfort

Posted Jun 30, 2017
Good location but old and very small rooms. No comfort at all.

Could be much better.

Pros: Nothing
Cons: You need to check IDs and Passports of your residents. The hotel needs to be refurbished. Should have air conditioning.
Location: Not bad. A 10 minute walk to Paddington.
Cons. The receptionist did not require a Passport or ID to Check in which raised my security concerns. No greetings upon our arrival, the receptionist was dressed casual wear not professional at all. The wash basin in the toilet was too small. The shower door was dirty and loose. There was a microwave in the room that was dirty and smelly. Pros. The bed was clean and well done. The towels are clean.

good location, close to Hyde park

Posted Jun 8, 2017
Pros: Decent for price and location
Cons: Bigger tv
Location: Near Hyde park and. Padington station
Went to London for 3 days, hotel was close to train station restaurants and grocery stores, typical small hotel for London area, price was ok, clean and everything worked, breakfast included, fine for a base camp, to go exploring London

Keep your expectations low.

Pros: The location and the staff.
Cons: The beds. My mattress was seriously caved in on one side. Décor could use an update.
Location: I highly recommend the Italian restaurant right next door called Taormina. Great food! Must do: stroll around Kensington gardens.
This is obviously not a luxury hotel so don't expect much. Staff was all very nice, super helpful with luggage, finding taxi and information. The location is AMAZING. Close to 2 tube stations, lots of restaurants/shops right there and the gorgeous hyde park/Kensington gardens steps away. Rooms are rather small but have everything you need to get by. Décor is outdated and there's no elevator so prepare to work up your cardio going up several flights of stairs. Otherwise it was okay, comfort was average, and it was clean enough for me. Breakfast is rather limited but I think anyone can find something for their tastes.

Nice hotel with Easy access to city center

Good hotel near bus stops and tube stations. We are a young couple who spent little time in the hotel so it worked for us!

Value for money hotel

Posted May 10, 2017
Small but clean room. Overall, gives one a cramped and dingy feeling. Breakfast is not the best but given the location (5 mts walk from Hyde Park) and the price, it's value for money

Awful Hotel

Posted May 4, 2017 on Hotels
The Oxford Hotel were abysmal in that they discriminated against clients with Learning Disabilities on arrival and refused to honour a booking that was paid for in advance. The hotel gave mixed excuses ranging from the guests had a Dog, despite this being clear on the booking, the hotel directly informed prior to arrival. Their next excuse was that they hadn't received payment, despite payment being taken by Hotel.com by card and being approved. The Oxford Hotel has acted in a discriminatory and illegal manner in breaching Equality legislation leaving disabled people without accommodation in London.

Pros: Not much besides helpful staff
Cons: See above
Location: Good location to Underground, park, Tube, buses
Room extremely small but expected in UK. Bathroom smelled bad. No towels for 1st 2 days then hand towels for next 2 days. Breakfast items kept running out. Room floor dirty, dust everywhere. Mold in bathroom, no fan. Couldn't control own room temperature, hotel puts it on at night. Tv couldn't be seen by all beds. Helpful staff in booking trips, cabs etc.

Good location

You get what you pay for here. The hotel is looking rather tired and wore down but its good value for the money. You also get breakfast included although the door was locked when we attended. Its ok for a night or two but not somewheere you would book an holiday. The best feature about this hotel is its location as its not far from Kensington gardens/hyde park.
