Well-managed hotel

Posted Nov 26, 2016
Pros: Comfortable.
Cons: Breakfast should be included in room fee. Heating should be reduced.
Location: In walking distance of a supermarket. Ten minutes' walk to Scrovegni Chapel, which is one of the top places to visit in northern Italy.
Quiet location close to good restaurants. Valet parking. Attentive reception staff. Comfortable room and furnishings.

A comfortable hotel a few steps from Palazzo Bo

Posted Oct 17, 2016
Pros: Quiet, convenient, and characteristic of the Veneto region.
Cons: A nearby bar, full of students drinking on the street can be noisy on the weekends.
Location: First time visitors can be challenged to find the hotel situated in the old part of the city.
We have have stayed at this hotel at least ten times over the years. It is a good choice in a city without grand hotels. The lively piazze delle Erbe e della Frutta are only a block away without the noise. The central buildings of the University of Padova (Palazzo del Bo) are just steps away.

Padua Central

Posted Sep 29, 2016 on Hotels
Loved Padua, and this hotel has you right in the heart of the tourist area. Great food within spitting distance, and shopping street with everything you might want. Older hotel beautifully maintained. I mean, it could be hundreds of years old...it's Padua! Modern facilities, great wi-fi.

Great location.

Super hard to find. Don't use the address in gps. The address hotel provided because they knew it was a mess in gps also did not work. But if you search for the hotel by name in google maps and follow that it works. You just drive into the pedestrian zones even tho it says buses and taxis only. Go super slow. Garage is somewhere else. For disabled travelers there is one small elevator but it worked for my husband and his pride mobility scooter. Hotel people are super nice and help you with the ramp because it is too steep. The elevator to breakfast room is service elevator and is tiny.

A few days away.

It was rather noisy in the hotel from the bar across the street. I think it had seen better days, but the position is great, you can walk to everything.

A hotel with issues.

Posted May 18, 2016 on Hotels
Had to change the room because it was an uncontrollably hot room and it had a bathroom way too small; the other room was cooler and had a normal size bathroom. If one comes by car, the GPS will never find the hotel, and then the garage is a bit far and costly, but the hotel's position is convenient for walking to all attractions.

Classic central traditional hotel

Posted Apr 23, 2016
Pros: Location. Traditional style. Courteous and helpful staff. Quiet.
Cons: Automatic light in the bathroom ! At night the bathroom door had to be closed since any movement in bed triggered it to go on...and stay on for 10 min
Location: Central. Walk to chapel, gardens, cathedral. We also caught tourist boat along Brenta canal to Venice.
The Majestic was in an ideal spot in the centre of this university bike-riding town. Just off one of the many Piazzas, it was easy to walk to sites, cafes and sit in the sun and enjoy the rituals of a daily fresh fruit and veg market. Without a car it was a short taxi ride from the station. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our gracious room faced the rear with a pleasant view over rooftops. It was very quiet.
