Nice Hotel

Nice Hotel, very friendly staff. The hotel has free water taxis to Hamilton. The service runs only in mornings and evenings but very convenient. Rooms are nice and comfortable and has great view of water. The only negative is that the room I stayed in has very disgusting sewage smell on day 2 and the hotel were able to switch my room the same day. However, it was a hassle and it seems that they were aware of the problem. So, I do not understand why they booked me in the room without confirming the problem of the smell is gone forever. The staff were nice but offer no credits for the inconvenience.

Its lovely watching the sun rise over the harbour

All the rooms overlook the harbour and the hotel has its own water taxi which makes this an ideal hotel for people doing meetings in Hamilton. However, you are not in the centre so it is more relaxing and a great get away. It is linked to Blu the restaurant at Belmont and if you want to go to the beach there is a great walk over the hill. Staff are great so all in all a good place to stay.

Shuttle only went to cocoa beach which was lame, very small are on cliff to sit in chairs, area smelled . Shuttle slow on return back to hotel . Limited seating around pool area, Free water ferry limited times and broke down one day

Beautiful waterfront hotel

Beautiful waterfront hotel across from downtown area. Complimentary water ferry takes you across to downtown area where you can eat, shop and take ferries to other parts of the island. Hotel also has shuttle to take you to Coco Reef hotel to enjoy their beach. The hotel staff (and people in general living in Bermuda) are some of the friendliest I have ever met. Staff was very accommodating, helping make our vacation relaxed and enjoyable. There are two restaurants in hotel and pool bar.

Week at the Newstead Belmont Hills Resort and Spa

Pros: The pool, the rooms, frequency of the Coco Beach shuttle with complementary beach chairs voucher.
Cons: Complementary van transport between hotel and Hamilton during the 5 hour gap when the boat is not running.
Location: Hamilton is right across the sound from the hotel. Can get ferries to other points on Island from there. Has it own golf coarse
We had a splendid week's stay and would stay there again and also recommend it to friends. The staff was warm and friendly.

Great location

The staff here was top notch. We had a suite and it was spectacular. The food was pricey, but we mad small meals in our kitchen. A local grocery store nearby was a big unexpected plus. We are going back next year!

Was not happy

The first room assigned to us was ground floor could not see anything i chose this hotel for the view the staff changed my room to a 2nd floor a little better, tbe cable was out so no tv on a rainy day or to catch up with news, the floor had a white dust that i could write my name in, I def will not be staying there again, the hotel had a free airport shuttle but we could not use that because we booked through expedia so we had to pay for a ride, so in all honesty I dont think i will be booking though expedia,I feel we lose out on other things by booking through places like this.

Nice hotel

Nice hotel. Had a relaxing stay. Only problem was the tv was out for the whole time we were there. Needed new cable boxes installed. Told it would be installed on Thursday, we left Friday and still no new box. Didn't offer to move us. The location is nice if you want to go to Hamilton by the ferry that is complimentary, but other than that nothing within walking distance so you have to rely on cabs, which can be costly. Hotel staff at the bar, Angel and Krista, were great!! Had a fun day talking with them when we first arrived! Rum swizzles were awesome! All in all a very nice, clean hotel. Would stay again!

Not as good as last time.

Pros: Location with complimentary transportation is a nice feature. Good size rooms and a lovely infinity pool.
Cons: Faster responses to the shuttle requests.
Third time staying at The Newstead and noticed a few deficiencies compared to previous stays. The room showed some wear and tear with warped wood floors and a few small holes in the walls. The shuttle from the golf course and beach was very slow, once keeping me waiting 45 minutes. The once available lounge chair covers were nowhere to be found. The private ferry to Hamilton was out of commission one day. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the restaurants were excellent!

Can't wait to come back!

Newstead is a great hotel. The staff is so nice and seriously one of the main reasons we will be coming back. We did not encounter one rude person in Bermuda, and the hotel staff all went above and beyond during our stay. Newstead is super convenient because of the coco beach shuttle and water ferry to Hamilton. Do not second guess, just stay there!
