We were originally placed across the hotel in the pavilion and when I mentioned our anniversary Ester at reception upgraded us to deluxe room as a gold Hilton member with small fee, which was amazing. Difference was minimal and all should do it!

Five star experience!

Pros: Old world elegance and courtesy with modern conveniences.
Cons: There was a loading dock somewhere under our window that started banging and clunking before 6 in the morning!
Location: Next to the palace and easy walk to many restaurants.
A relaxing, elegant stay in Versailles! Our room overlooked the Marie Antoinette park, and was very spacious.

Bait and Switch

Pros: The Palace, that we didn't get to stay in. It was also close to Versaille.
Cons: Be more clear about not being able to stay in the Palace when people are booking their rooms.
We thought we would be staying in the palace that many of our family members and friends have stayed in. We paid more for this room than any other room in our 10 day trip (all 5-star hotels) and I was mad the whole time I was in Versaille because we were put in the annex, which resembles a college dormitory. Of all the rooms I've ever stayed in, this was the most disappointing because we splurged to stay there, were so excited to be in the palace, but were ushered to pauper-land to stay in what could be the storage warehouse for the palace.. I tried to buy up to stay in the Palace, but all the rooms they had left were rooms for well over $1,000 Euros per night. If you're going to advertise that it's in a palace, you better have rooms in the palace. I wouldn't stay in this place again for free.

waldorf Astoria brand hotels are known for their luxury and service. this one was no different. excellent and very close to the chateux

Beautiful hotel in a great location.

Beautiful hotel that was very clean and lively amenities. The staff were all fantastic and very friendly, professional and helpful. The spa facilities were of a very high standard and I had the best massage I have ever had! The valet parking was faultless and the staff there were brilliant too. The hotel was in a fantastic location too and would highly recommend this hotel and stay here again ourselves.
