Posted May 12, 2016 on Hotels

Disappointing

Posted Aug 22, 2015 on Hotels
The visit unfortunately was full of disappointment. The administrator was very rude and not helpful, not willing to accept credit card payment. No SPA facilities as it was closed on summer season. This was not mentioned on the hotels.com website. We got an extremely tiny room with no windows, just a few skylights. we asked to change the room but our request was not granted. Then we asked for a refund but we were said that it is not possible to make any returns. The room looks clean from the first sight but we found out that the dirt is just hidden: after opening one of the skylights we found a lot of dirt around it, with spiderwebs and etc. the other side of the skylights were dirty too. The bathroom facilities were ok, however the bathroom is really smelly, there is some mold on the corners, the water in the shower drains really slowly. we took a breakfast on a first morning and t was a really simple breakfast for a price of the restaurant breakfast, thus its better to have breakfast in Palanga town. The location of the hotel is great though.

Strand-Schlösschen mit Fehlern

Posted Jun 25, 2015 on Hotels
Frühstück: 5 Euro pro Person, jede Tasse Kaffee, die man zusätzlich will, kostet extra.

Posted Aug 23, 2014 on Hotels

Beachside Hotel in Palanga

Posted Aug 7, 2014 on Hotels
Hotel is in a unique location--right on a beautiful beach. To get there you need to drive 1-1/2 km down a bike path, so be sure to take the hotel's directions. Hotels is clean and well-maintained. My complaint, however, is with the A/C. Rooms had air-conditioning, but my room had an upper bedroom accessed by some stairs. The A/C kept the lower lounge area cool, but the upper bedroom remained uncomfortably hot all night long. Weather was unseasonably warm and room had no operating windows. A small fan would have been extremely useful to circulate the air.

A Shambles..

Posted Jun 21, 2013
Booked through Expedia and received confirmation that the booking had been confirmed with the hotel. Drove for 4 hours then walked for half an hour to find the hotel (which was not signposted and is accessed by a pedestrian and bicycle road (which we found later cars do use). No reception staff on attendance on arrival. Waiter came to try and check us in but didn't appear to know what he was doing. Waited ten minutes. Eventually receptionist arrived and without acknowledging me started to check booking. Ten minutes later she said that somebody had booked the room already and it wasn't available. She said she had no notice from Expedia although then stated that she could "see the booking on the extranet". She offered a standard double room and we checked the room. It was an extremely small box room with no windows other than 2 small windows on the roof and they wanted £100 a night for this. No discount or offers made for inconvenience. The staff need to understand that this is their mistake (or expedias and sympathize with customers who experience these problems. Decided to go elsewhere and spent the next 2 hours searching for another hotel in the area. Advice: check with the hotel once you have booked through expedia or don't use expedia to book. Standard double room is very small with no sea view and no windows other than small windows on roof. Can't comment on the room we booked since somebody was in it. A shambles of an experience.
