Awesome grounds but beds need upgrading
The location of this hotel is great, as well as the grounds! Rooms are large and well appointed except for the beds...the mattress need to be upgraded. They are hard and feel old tech...providing low quality rest. Although we had superb service in our room, other rooms in our group did not...of course we where there during the week after x-mas and the hotel was packed...this caused customer service to suffer specially at restaurant and bar. Overall we would return and recommend this hotel when you visit Palenque!

The room was nice, spacious, and clean. The road coming in to the hotel was atrocious. I mean if your charging that much for a hotel stay then at least fix your damn roads leading up to the place. Also the front desk staff was very rude and unwelcoming. I had better service from the bartender and that is just sad.

We used it as our base for traveling in Chiapas and Tabasco...very nice room and pool...the restaurant was great and the servers were very professional, especially Xavier! Highly recommended!!

After visiting the ruins I liked the spacious grounds and the proximity to town, we had to walk about 5 blocks to get to the main plaza. The pool area was nice and my daughter and I enjoyed lounging in the hammocks listening to the howler monkeys in the surrounding jungle. We did a temescal which was an interesting experience. The menu had a good selection, I chose to try some of the traditional Chiapas dishes. The staff was helpful and my daughter had a chance to practice her Spanish.

Historic Hotel
I've stayed here before and like it. The building is very old, with beautiful tile, I can feel the history of the building. I had a very big room on the ground floor. It was clean and comfortable and if definitely want to stay there again.

Lovely clean rooms and too bright to sleep
Room was lovely and clean but the light from outside was on all night so the room was very bright and difficult to sleep in. Pool had not been cleaned I.e lots of bugs

Lovely resort in the jungle, great location, can actually walk to town but easy with a taxi, lovely big pool to laze in and plenty of shade too for those hot steamy afternoons. Air con rooms were large and spacious, showers clean and plenty of water pressure, nice alternative to down town Palenque

Large property with spa and soccer fields swimming pool and quiet. Staff did not speak a word of English and I felt front desk staff were quite indifferent whether I stayed or not.

The hotel is nice, and they organized our transportation to the ruins and to Villahermosa airport. Some days during dinner, they perform shows.

Good location, a quick 10 minute walk to town but away from the noise. Beautiful grounds, very helpful staff. Internet is intermittent at best.

Good hotel, good service, good price
It’s not the closest property to the Mayan ruins, but the hotel is very complete: rooms are spacious, service is great, food at the restaurant has varied options, it has a pool, spa, swings and other amenities. Overall I did not resent the distance to the ruins (besides, it’s only about a 10 to 15 minute drive).

Disappointing
The things that the hotel claims to have but doesn't follow through with... 1. Wifi- it did not exist. I searched on campus and was never able to find any. Upon speaking to the staff it was a known issue. They even had a permanent sign stating that you would probably have to go to the lobby to use the Internet... which didn't work their either. 2. Not enough towels. We asked for more towels and never got any. We went to the pool and they didn't have any there either. 3. The drain in the shower was plugged. My wife had to stop showering so that it didn't flood the bathroom... 4. The cable tv was so terrible that you couldn't actually watch anything. To be fair... the staff were really nice and warm. The grounds were kept really well and we saw a monkey in the trees just outside of our room!

This hotel is nicely located, within walking distance from the city center where you can find plenty of options for a cafe or lunch. The hotel's premises and gardens are well kept, however, the rooms (specially) the bathrooms are in urgent need of a major renovation. Everything just works, but it seems even the bathroom fixtures had seen better days. In general it was a decent accommodation for the rate we paid and I'd recommend it if you have to spend one or two nights in Palenque

huge compound close to town.
Large, well-maintained hotel walking distance to Palenque. The desk staff was a bit apathetic, but all others were friendly and helpful. Reminded me of the hotels in the Catskills in the '60s. :)

Honestly terrible
The hotel picturea do not match the reality AT ALL. The hotel is very old. They have terrible service, ww had to call the lobby thrice for an extra towel. The breakfast is not included and it is overpriced and it takes forever to have any meal, which is inconveninet for travel times. It aditionally has terrible food. We stayed for ney years and without warning they had a luve music group play until 3 am music so loud it was impossible to sleep. We had to leave very early the next morning and had wanted to sleep early, but the rooms were right next to the very expensive party. The hotel had no consideration on this or any interest in helping us solve our need to sleep - they got extra cash out of this party In spite of disrespecting all guests in makig their hotel a club. This lack of interest for their guests is present in everything. The hotel is usually overpriced, and it lacks personality. It has many rooms and will lower it prices more than 50% if booked the same night you plan to stay, so leave it as your last option.
