Overall a pretty good experience! The staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean, the restaurant/bar on site were fun, and the grounds were very beautiful! It wasn’t the fanciest hotel in the world but it served our needs just fine. Would come here again

Wonderful

This Lodge is awesome! When we walked in the door we were greeted warmly by the amanagers. Since I walk with a cane , Aidan said, “I see you would have trouble with stairs,”. I said, “yes.” He promptly changed our room to the closest to the desk. It was quaint and lovely, The restaurant/bar was very nice and the food was delicious! While the continental breakfast could have had a few more choices, it was still good! We had a wonderful conversation with Aidan before we left. While this is not a Hilton, if you want “cozy and warm,” I highly recommend this wonderful lodge, a bit off the beaten path.

This is a good hotel to stay over the weekend if you are hiking around and need a place to come back and relax at night. Great location and host. Nice wood stove in the lobby. You can arrive later than 3 pm, no problem with that. Desk is open at all times.

Ok stay for area

Lodge is okay stay for area, unfortunately I was in area for work, choose this place cause it was close to where I needed to be. However I was a little disappointed that it was advertised on expedia as having breakfast, there was no breakfast and the hot water was difficult to get. This did upset me cause the rate was higher than I would have paid for this type of lodging. Staff was very nice but no one was there at check in , they did call and let me know where to get key , had to check in later.

Looked forward to breakfast, as stated on blurb... But it only happens on weekends. Really? So why not say that in the copy..

we usually make special arrangements to accommodate guest who are checking in late. There is no front desk clerk 24/7. Breakfast is served only sat ans sun morning.

We recently had a great stay at the Catskill Mountain Lodge, in fact, so nice that we extended by two days to appreciate the area more. On Saturday night we dined at their Kindred Spirits Restaurant and greatly enjoyed a lovely evening of great live local jazz!

Place is horrible, twice here in a month

2 times in a month , never any staff to check you in . Never seen restaurant Open ! First time several hours to check in This time ! Selected upgrade room got standard room same cost ! I will never stay here again nor recommend!

Needs work

I've stayed here in the past, but it really is in need of updating. The carpets are very threadbare; the claim of breakfast is included only applies to the weekend; the restaurant was not open the first 2 days and on the third the cook didn't show up; internet is terrible. They did add a small fridge and a coffee pot in the room.

All the Standard lodge rooms were newly carpeted within a year. It stated on expedia breakfast is on sat and sun morning.
