Interesting Hotel

Posted Sep 3, 2017
Pros: The walls of the halls and rooms have hand painted watercolour murals on them. Very nice.
Cons: Electrical outlets in the room that stay on when you leave so electronics can charge.
Being co-located in a building with other hotels, the experience starts off differently than most. The reception is disconnected from the elevator. That was a first for us. The walls of the halls and rooms have hand painted watercolour murals on them. Very nice. The locks on the doors are non-intuitive. This is obviously an issue with many guests as they went through how to get into the room in great detail. Probably just a problem with this North American trying to interact with Sicilian locks.

Inexpensive hotel close to the centre

Posted Aug 19, 2017
Pros: The hotel was close to the centre of the main tourist attractions.
Location: Palermo has lots to see although quite a few of the attractions seem to be shut a lot of the time or only partially open.
Elite is a typical 3 star hotel and does everything it says on the tin without any extras. Its main benefit is its location, only a few minutes walk from some of the main sight-seeing locations, plus near plenty of restaurants and cafes. The room I was in was a few metres from another building and the only window looked across into someone's flat. Consequently, it felt awkward to roll up the blind and I left it down, which meant that the room was dark. Beyond that, breakfast was adequate but really this is a hotel that you will only use to rest after a day's worth of sight-seeing and no more. Staff were able to communicate in basic English, and helpful enough.

Nice Hotel in Great City

Posted Jun 29, 2017 on Hotels
Nice hotel in the center of Palermo, very convenient for walking to nearby attractions, dining, shopping and for public transport / trains. Friendly staff and good continental breakfast. The city center is a bit of a drive from the airport, costs about 50 euro for a taxi.

well situated.

Posted Jun 17, 2015
Pros: its' location and easy access
Cons: generalized update of furnishings
Location: you could access everything from movies, cafés restaurants, boutiques, shopping areas, churches and anything palermo has to offer. bus lines too.
close to anything one can wish: boutiques, major shopping hubs, restaurants and bars. easy to locate and access. not much connection with staff who were nevertheless effective. rooms cleaned well: sheets changed twice in a week's stay. overall, good value for money.

Accueil positif.
