Nice beachy feel. Location to the beach was great.Posted Dec 1, 2015
I was upgraded to a suite at no cost. My only issue would be that the acoustics were a bit of an issue.

Kind of basicPosted Nov 21, 2015
Pros: Gardens, location, free parking
Cons: Everything else
Great location right off Atlantic. Beautiful gardens. Room very spare and basic, furnishings kind of old, short on storage. Had to put a towel behind our headboard to keep the thing from knocking the wall every time we moved. Nice, big shower, but no counter space in bathroom. Big downer is so-called Continental breakfast. When we book a B&B, we expect something homemade or at least high quality. Breakfast was the same every day, nothing more than bitter fruit, soggy commercial bagels and muffins, packaged cereal or yogurt. Period. Good coffee at least.

Cosy hotel nearby beach and good dining optionsPosted Oct 29, 2015
Pros: Big room, comfortable bed, great amenities.
Cons: Bathroom is on the smaller side. Wife would have like more mirrors. Breakfast was limited - coffee, juice, fruit, toast and muffins
This is a very nice hotel. Our room was large, comfortable, and modern. Really liked that we could easily walk to the beach and sopping/dining downtown. Lively nightlife.

Key West NorthPosted Oct 3, 2015
Nice and quiet; secluded from the main streets. A little slice of the tropics where "no worries" is the byword

Lovely private alcove close to beachPosted Oct 2, 2015
Pros: Lovely, green oasis feel.
Cons: Serve a better breakfast and start at 7:30
I've been to this property several times over the years...beds are queen beds...rooms have been painted and slightly upgraded but bathrooms are still very modest and old...That would be okay with me to be in town close to the beach, but my biggest complaint is that their continental breakfast doesn't start till 9AM. If you want to play golf...that is too late...and right now its hard to find a breakfast place you can walk to

Great, quirky, cozy place near the beach in DelrayPosted Sep 12, 2015
Pros: The rooms are large and comfortable, if a bit dated ... and the staff is superb.
Cons: The property could use a little updating.
Location: Lot's of night life in Delray Beach, restaurants, bars, shopping just a short walk away.
The place is a bit quirky, but in the best possible way. It really is like a Key West oasis in the middle of Delray Beach with palm trees and little paths winding through plantings and the buildings of the site. The rooms are nice and quick large for what you'll pay for them, with a good range of amenities like a refrigerator and microwave. I stayed in a one bedroom suite and it's like a full apartment ... living room, dining space, refrigerator, bedroom and bath. I could live in this room for a month and not notice I wasn't home. The staff is super friendly and helpful. There are also two pools on site and a small outdoor "Tiki" bar. It's off the main beat, so it's also quite and calm on the property, but Atlantic Ave with shops and restaurants is just a half a block away. The "main drag" part of Atlantic Ave. is about a 1/4 mile west of the property, but an easy walk to everything in Delray Beach is easily accessible from Cranes. I highly recommend you consider this hotel if you're staying in Delray Beach.

Very close to beach and shopping!Posted Sep 8, 2015
Pros: Tropical atmosphere and very nice staff made the stay worth while. Rooms were very clean and really liked the nearly full size kitchen.
Cons: By far the most uncomfortable beds. TOO SOFT!!! Also, they need to spray for bugs in the jungle!
Location: See above...
Great location within everything. Park the car and forget it! Wife and I took a weekend retreat to Delray for the 3rd or 4th time and this was the first time we stayed near the beach, which is a 5 minute walk away. You can either rent lounge chairs and umbrella for $10/hr or bring your own. Plenty of places to eat, shop, drink and the live music at Bostons (another 5 minute walk) is awesome. Swimming pools are nice and clean with plenty of lounge chairs. The happy hour by the pool with live music was nice but unfortunately not many attended so we didn't hang around much. Parking was easy and free and rooms are easy to get to.

Channeling Key WestPosted Aug 10, 2015 on Hotels
This is a great little old time style compact resort in walking distance to beaches shops and short drives to lots of good things to do. Really relaxing little place with unusually attractive rooms that are a real change from the big box resorts. Feels like places in Key west I have stayed with a lot less driving [coming from winter Park that means almost 500 miles less] John

Short get away.Posted Aug 3, 2015 on Hotels
Went to the hotel for a short 33rd anniversary get away. Wonderful place and stay. Truely an oasis in the city.
