Property was upgraded a few years ago. It’s clean, safe, lovely area. Room service could be improved. Food came in boxes with plastic forks. Management was very attentive and pleasant.

The staff was friendly at the front desk, however not so much at the coffee shop. The rooms were nice and spacious. The hotel grounds were well kept.

The grounds are nice, but they were pretty torn up, busy and blocked off for a tournament. To me, that means I should pay less, since I'm not getting the full, quiet resort experience. But it still ran $500/night. The golf courses are interesting and challenging, but no more so than any other $400 per round course. Daily room service was very nice to have. The food is outrageously expensive and not that great for the price. Also, if a resort charges a daily resort fee (in small print, of course), they should not run out of towels and the pool area should be immaculate.

The PGA is a lovely hotel but the service was awful. I waited two hours for a lunch that was never delivered. They have all the right offerings but not enough staff to support the guests.

Recent renovation was evident and I like they retained the 1960's modernist vibe in some design details. Junior suite was spacious and comfortable. Things they could do better to justify the room rate: Provide resort map or describe all features available upon check-in such as what is included in the Resort fee. Provide 2 luggage racks in a room with 2 guests. I called and they delivered another but there should be 2 to start Provide courtesy umbrellas since rain is mot unusual in Florida

Room was ok. Not having a nite lite of some description in the rooms is extremely dangerous. During our stay my wife cut herself twice on the large glass shower door in the bathroom when using the restrooms on 2 consecutive nights. The food quality and presentation in Honneybelle was very poor. We actually left and ended up not finishing our breakfast that we were looking forward to. After that experience we cancelled our reservation at the steakhouse in anticipation of a potentially similar issue. During our stay the fire alarm triggered twice prompting anxiety and two trips to the lobby, one of which was an alarm at 7am on New Years morning. Upon checkout there were several items on our bill that were not for our room. We are waiting to receive a refund for those items. Overall the experience was average and we won’t be returning to the property. We have stayed at many many 5 star resorts worldwide and were not expecting this type of experience.

We stayed here for my daughter to play the US Kids Holiday Classic. It was a great experience. I only make the sugestion that they should have better food at Birdies, the rest of our stay was great.

We had a terrible experience and front desk operator did not show any kind of empathy nor discounted the night. When you spend 500$ per night you don’t want ugly bugs flying on your bed while you are sleeping. We are understand these kind of bugs are very common in Florida but you can easily avoid them with pest control.

Lack of onsite restaurant choices. Only one open for breakfast (Birdies Diner) and the food there was subpar. Coffee shop with limited choices and no pastries. Lunch options limited and dinner at Butcher is super expensive. Repair work in progress in 2-3 areas. Lack of signage to spa and pro shop. Expect to walk a lot to get to amenities. Overpriced valet parking and resort fees. Offsite dinner options a plus but you will need to drive to them. Spa is excellent as is the golf facilities. Room was ok but a “golf view” was a driving range 200 yards away.

Had a GREAT stay about the PGA National. Was there for almost two weeks. Can't say enough great things about it. I'll start with the staff - awesome service, from top to bottom. The check-in staff, lobby bartenders, restaurant waiters, concierge, staff at the spa, etc. were all top notch! A special shout out to the front desk manager, Chris Gordon, who bent over backwards, and was very patient and kind, to accommodate many of the special requests I had. The main restaurant was great, the bar was wonderful, the grounds were well kept, the property was beautiful, the valet parking attendants were helpful, and the spa was great. The only slight ding I would give was the lobby bar menu - could be a bit more diverse and broader; a relatively limited selection. But beyond that, AWESOME!
