Pros: service desk
Cons: Breakfast buffet was very disappointing. I didn't pay for it thank god, but I would have been mad if I did, very little selection for the price.
Service desk was excellent. The hotel club was a disaster. We went down and the entrance was filled what appeared to be employee's just hanging out. Maybe door personnel or bouncers but honestly they looked like a bunch of thugs. Smoking and just hanging out. Once we went in though it was a complete nightmare. I felt unsafe for myself and my date, It was if I just stepped into downtown Baltimore. We being Caucasian, the whole place was filled African Americans which in itself was not an issue, but you can tell we were not wanted. Everyone just looked at us and we felt very unwanted and uncomfortable. I would and could expect that if I was in downtown Baltimore but "I wasn't" I was at Marriott and I have always loved Marriott not just because of there high standards for themselves and there property but you know what your gonna get at Marriott. A great room for a fair price in a safe and comfortable environment. My date and myself did not get that feeling this visit. The room was ok, not Marriott standard by any means. The hallways smelt stale and moldy. The bed however was very comfortable and we did get a good nights sleep which is what we came for. I honestly will reconsider using Marriott in the future only because now I am worried that there standards may have dropped. Thank you Dave

Good Value

Overall, the hotel gives you a good bang for the buck. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff is professional and polite, restaurant staff very friendly. The location is close to I-95 and the Florida Turnpike, and there are several shopping malls close to the hotel.

Disappointed for the Price

Pros: Employees were very, very nice and professional. Maintenance was also the same. Pool/Spa is sparkling clean. View from 9th floor was GREAT!
Cons: Replace mattresses and the sitting chair. Mattress was broken down, sitting chair was sunken and you could feel the frame on your legs when sitting.
View was beautiful from 9th floor. Lobby area nice. Pool/Spa were sparkling clean. The staff we dealt with were lovely, courteous and professional. The king-sized bed was terrible. Linens were great - pillows were great ... mattress was broken down terribly in the middle. Had to get a plywood piece inserted. Worst mattress we've encountered for years in our travels. Overall, I was disappointed at the amount of "hotel" we got for the price. Will not stay there again.There was a Marriott Courtyard a few exits up - will stay there next time.

Well I intended to get in the pool but the pool was not clean, lots of unknown object was on the floor and also floating in the pool

Our stay for one week started kind of rough with some room problems but Kate Jackson, a staff member turned a bad experience into a good one. Kudos to her. Any hotel can have unforeseen problems but Kate turned them into a positive experience. Thanks Kate!
