Good hotel overallPosted Jan 7, 2018
We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights and had our pooch with us in one room. It is nice that the hotel room floors on the main floor were not carpeted, but rather a hardwood type material so there was a clean feel to the hotel room. Breakfast was good and the pool area is a nice size. We found the location of hotel nice as well....just bordering Indian Wells. We did have an issue with one of our boys leaving his watch on the bathroom counter right before we checked out. He was running around, exercising the dog, packing up the vehicle and as such needed to take a quick shower before we checked out. Of course, in all the commotion, he forgot his new watch on the counter. We called management and spoke to a couple men (Gaylin?) and within just a couple of days they were able to locate the 'Christmas gift watch' he had worn only a handful of times and they are sending it to us. This was very much appreciated. We are returning to the Palm Desert area at the end of March and will stay here again! :) Customer service and going a little extra meant a lot! Thank you BWPD team.

Pros: location with good value
Cons: breakfast every morning was good, but could be improved
we were checked into a room that was not ready after we arrived. We left for an hour so the room could be cleaned and when we returned out keys would not work. After this start everything else about the hotel experience was excellent.

Pros: Clean, easy to find, very easy check in and out.
Cons: The Bathrooms!
Location: Location was easy to find, as for things to do nearby, not sure
I was pleasantly surprised at how nice our stay was. The room was spacious, laminate flooring which I really liked. Carpets can be pretty disgusting but this floor was very clean. I was a bit concerned about the beds as they were very bouncy but to our surprise we all slept very well. The shower pressure was rather low and the bathroom could use some updating. The bathtub and surrounding area did need some work as it was fairly old and a decent sized gap between tile and tub. Worked for a shower on our way out. The pool looked spacious and very clean (did not use). The cooked to order breakfast was not overly memorable. Simple choices, had to wait a bit as it is cooked to order. We had pancakes and hash browns. Nothing to write home about. There was a variety of juices, yogurt, cereal and fruit as well. We would stay here again if travelling through Palm Desert for sure.

I appreciated the dog-friendly policy; front desk staff were very pleasant. But the lack of insulation from outside noise (the housekeeping carts passing by the door at 6:30 A.M.!) - and ESPECIALLY neighbors (audible conversations in adjoining room, and children running around in the room upstairs) made for very sleepless nights. The patio screen door had a tear in it (which I reported to the front desk). It is doubtful I would stay at this property again.
