To start, the rooms are just really dated and everything was worn-out. Additionally, the musky smell is prevalent across all our rooms and again, for $300 a night, it’s just unacceptable. Brown, faded curtains cover the window at pool level, patches in the ceiling where water had probably leaked down at some point, city views merely looking at a street, no frills, just gross. There was no uniformity in the rooms either, ours had an old wooden frame mirror in the bathroom that had been chipped apart, our friends had a newer smart mirror. The bathtubs seem to have been retiled recently, but the rest of rooms has an outdated look from the 70s. I’m speculating they’re just doing what they can when they can afford it. The old saying, “you can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig.” aligns well with what was going on here.
The hot tub is still out of commission, which based on how everything around the property is maintained, probably spared us all a good skin rash at best. Guests walk their dogs around the AstroTurf in front of your room (on pool view ground floor) and they poop and urinate all over it, so don’t go out barefoot. The doors are not secured going to the rooms, so make sure you lock up your place, just seems like a mess here. Won’t be back!
