Close to The River!

Pros: Close to theater, Starbuck's, restaurants
Cons: More pool lounge chairs.
Location: This is across a parking lot from The River....movie theater, Flemings, Cheesecake Factory, Yardhouse, Starbuck's, Ben & Jerry's.
Came in for a quick overnight and wanted to stay somewhere within walking distance to The River. This hotel is literally a walk across the parking lot! Our room was fine...this is not a fancy hotel. Bed was comfy, bathroom was nice, the pool area is pretty small and could use a few more lounge chairs, but I like the fact they provide towels at the pool. Breakfast in the morning is pretty generic, but you can't argue with the "price."

Stayed a week for Indian Wells tennis. Room was quiet, breakfast was standard HIE breakfast.

Dirty room, nice staff. Bad breakfast!

We paid 193 dollars on a Monday for a one night stay for March 6, 2017. We paid for a kingsized bed in a suite, but they suddenly said they gave our room away and only had one other option, an "upgrade" instead, a kingsized bed but with a jacuzzi right next to the bed! With the cold A/C off the room smelled like musk and we kept the A/C on our entire stay until the morning of our checkout. So as I remember this stay/experience, when we got to the room on the first floor with noisy neighbors up above on the second floor, we discover a tall room with stucco painted walls that were aged with dust, and when we ventured enough, the jacuzzi didn't work, which required a walk to the front desk--curly hair in the jacuzzi, a wine bottle cap and a popcorn under the tv stand, and hair in the bathtub shower. We have stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Cathedral City twice, and have not once experienced hair or trash in our room, have we been upgraded to a broken jacuzzi? The worst part of our stay was BREAKFAST at 8:35am. All the turkey sausage patties look like mud patties, no grill marks, or any normal colors--they all--each of them in the heated tray looked grey/brown and tasted odd. We also tried the egg patties, which had raw egg particles mixed with veggies. The only highlight over Cathedral City's Holiday Inn was their staff. The staff here at Rancho Mirage was highlighted by the three evening and night staff members me met at the front desk whom were cordial and friend

Nice and comfortable

Stayed 2 nights to visit family and play golf. It was close to restaurants and shopping. Near our family.

Good location

Location, cleanliness, staff were excellent. A setback, the bedding is uncomfortable, not smooth sheets and the pillows too stiff. Would visit again, and would bring my own pillows.

Nice hotel for family

Cons: Shampoo the carpet. Replace pillows with flatter, less bumpy ones.
Hotel is nice and modern. The breakfast was great for kids. There were several options and enough seating for everyone. I felt the carpet could have been cleaner and the pillows were awful. It served the purpose. We needed a place to sleep and decent breakfast. The pool at night was also fun for the kids. I would stay there again.
