Booked a "Junior Suite" with 2 double beds at this property on a Wednesday for arrival on that Friday. After a 4.5-hour drive from Las Vegas, we arrived around 7pm. We checked in, took the key, and went up to our room. What a sad surprise! The room was small and uncomfortable. Definitely not a suite and arguably not even as large as most roadside motel rooms. No chairs or place to sit. Just beds and a bathroom. Not at all what we booked.
I immediately returned to the front desk, and I was very disappointed to be informed by the staff that the original room we had booked had been given away to another guest, and that the only room available was going to be a "Parlor Room" because they were sold out. As we had been traveling all day, did not have the energy to look for another property last-minute, and only in town for the weekend, we accepted.
This review is 3 stars only because I feel the front desk tried to the best of their ability to rectify the situation. We were offered free breakfasts and free drinks at the bar. She also informed me to call Expedia for a refund. I called Expedia, and after all was said and done, I only ended up paying half my original rate. Breakfasts, resort fees, parking, etc were all comped and there were basically no additional charges put on my card.
However, this was never about the money. I booked the room specifically because it was a suite, because we had three people in our group and wanted space to breathe. Definitely did not get that.
