Our check in was welcoming, other then that poor customer service. Shuttle bus touch forever to pick us up and we were waiting under the heat. Shuttle bus driver not friendly @all. Palmera Pool very poor quality of service from both bartenders and the only server serving a (lady), the pool area very rude all 3 of them. African lady providing the towels was the only associate that provided us with EXCELLENT SERVICE. Check out assistant - was like a machine, asking for the key and providing the final bill, but there was no guest interaction at all. Supervisor was made aware of our HORRIBLE experience. It seemed like she didn’t mind listening to our concerns. Never adjusted anything due to all the inconvenience. I would not recommend this property.

Loved our unit and the property. However, was very disappointed that our room was ready an hour and half late, pushing our check in time to 5:30 PM! Felt like I was paying just to sleep there and not stay there. To make matters worse, they didn’t tell us about the late check in until we got there, affecting our entire travel day

Every part of our stay was excellent! Any issues or requests were responded to almost immediately! The villa was well equipped with everything we needed. Every staff member we encountered was very friendly and helpful. The property is gorgeous with many things to do. We will be back!

I did not like my room, as I need to change it to a different room because of the balcony was very dark terrible looking we received a handicapped room which we did not like at all, but we took it in order not to start a problem. Also the issue of not being able to have a late check out they denied us they were not so friendly. I would not stay there again never.

I enjoyed my stay. The staff was friendly although check-in was a little slow. The amenities are great . The pool areas might not be to close to your room but still most of the time parking near was available as a lot of people walk. The other amenities are very close to the room. Everything works well in the room and was clean enough. I recommend this to families they have a store whit a lot of stuff even a Starbucks inside.

Frustrating experience re room access
First off I'll start by saying that I did not know this was a time share. It took a little time finding the check in location. The room was clean, with ample lighting. I liked the little patio and full size refrigerator. My friend & I were able to enjoy the hot tub. The pool was a little too chilly for us. The next morning we walked over to the JW Marriott before our noon checkout. It is beautiful. I quickly regretted not booking there. When we returned to our room (at 10:30 am) to pack up, our key card didn't work. At first I thought that it was a mistake- that the door was locked based on a 10:00 checkout. I went to the lobby (which is a completely separate building) for assistance. Christian apologized & reactivated my key card. I went back to the room... and still couldn't get in! I phoned and spoke with someone who said it was probably the battery in the door lock. She was sending someone over. We waited before returning to the lobby. Now there was a line that I had to wait in. When I finally got up to the counter, I was informed that a new battery was placed in the door lock after I left for my second trip to the lobby. This issue cut into our packing time. I asked if our checkout time could be extended. After all, a dead battery was on them, not me. It was a big inconvenience- 50 minutes were wasted! I was told it could not. No attempt to right this wrong! We rushed to meet the noon deadline, and the cleaning person was ringing the doorbell at 11:58! I won't return.

My husband and I liked staying here. We had some pros and cons. Pros: very spacious room overlooking golf course, quiet and nice, comfy beds and showers, had a wonderful place you could pick up a Starbucks or snack, 7 pools were nice, people that worked there were super friendly and helpful from the management to the room attendant, so great job on that, price was reasonable and no extra resort fees, room was cleaned for us one day which was great too! Cons: outside furniture covered with dirt and wasn’t wiped down, our room lacked a few basics like soap and conditioner, shuttle service had benches to sit on but not under a shade so it was sweltering, pool food and drinks were outrageously expensive, drinks at one pool were $8 cheaper than another one which makes no sense. Feel like it was a rip off for what we got, bingo is played poolside so all you hear is them announcing “A22, B12, C5”,no music so if you weren’t playing bingo it was irritating. One pool was covered in dust and dirt, even walking from pool to your chair was very very dusty and dirty, and gate allowed us through without checking our pass at all so didn’t feel particularly safe with that. Overall we would come back again and try it out! Some of the cons could have been completely coincidental for this trip. This place is a lovely resort.
