Great location

The hotel is located just one block away from Main Street where all the restaurants and night life are. Most everything is within walking distance. Great location for price

Great location and amazing poolside area

Posted Mar 10, 2017
The location of this hotel can not be beat! The pool area and evening fire pits are great. The only criticism would be that while the room was clean the housekeepers often left without replenishing things like toilet paper, coffee and soap. Not such a big deal when you can just pop to reception to get goods for the restock. One morning while by the pool, there were 3 guys with mowers, blowers and electronic clippers making an absolute racket. it ruined a quiet busy time at the pool. As the sun disappears at 4pm and everyone starts to get ready for dinner in their rooms I would suggest that this would be a better time for this sort of garden maintenance.

Pros: The room was clean and adequate. We enjoyed the hot tub. We like the location of the hotel.
We were very disappointed that they did provide a breakfast. The shuttle only goes from 7AM to 7 PM. Our flight left at 6 AM so we had to take a taxi. The staff didn't seem to be knowledgeable about tours or getting to places like the Tram. The gentleman at the library was much more helpful to us.

Easy Palm Springs stay

Posted Feb 28, 2017
Pros: The Location
Cons: This hotel has what many have today - a duvet covering each bed. I'ld prefer the option of a thinner blanket to use when things get too warm for me
Location: Restaurants are everywhere, and there are all kinds to choose from and all within walking distance.
Palm Mountain Resort is a pleasant spot very close to everything. Our room was comfortable and clean. Rooms are accessed from open walkways wrapping around the outside of the hotel, so if you want a quieter one, request something away from the courtyard where the pool is located. Ours faced the San Jacinto Mountains which provided a nice view. While we didn't use the pool area it looked very nice with an area by an outdoor fire pit for lounging in the evening.

Bring your own soap

Posted Feb 27, 2017
Good location. The grounds are the best part of this hotel. Beautiful pool and landscaping. I was there for an art opening and didn't use the spa, so I can't comment. It's dark. The room door is dark, the carpet is dark, the furniture is dark. I was on the first floor, so my room had a door outside. Plantation shutters on door and window let in some light. But, bring soap, shower cap, makeup remover pads and cotton swabs. No toiletries amenities at all. The soap and shampoo are in the shower in dispenser. Sink bar soap was the size of a quarter. Fridge hummed all night. Bed clean and fresh and comfortable. I didn't see a bar or restaurant. Staff was friendly and grounds immaculate. Parking tight at night so we had to park on street. It was gated like a fortress though.

Amazing courtyard and pool area.

Posted Feb 23, 2017
Pros: The courtyard was very beautiful.
Cons: Rooms need updating and the cleaning was not up to par. Shampoo, soap, and lotion comes out of dispensers and they were smeared, broken and dripping.
Location: Within walking distance of downtown Palm Springs. Indian canyon, Joshua Tree National Park, and Idyllwild were beautiful places within driving.
Five days for recreation. The rooms were old. Not only outdated but also dingy looking. The lounge chair was faded and stained, paint peeling, smudges on walls and ceilings. However, the hotel is nice and central. The courtyard was amazing and there is a great French restaurant right behind the hotel.

....Good location, that is all

Posted Feb 21, 2017
I booked a resort and felt like I stayed in a motel. My room was small, chocolate balls on the floor, and hair on the pillow. I was awoken by people's voices due to the thinnest walls in history, The worst was people going down the stairs with their luggage on wheels. Literally couldn't sleep past 4 AM! Pool closed at 10, did not sell alcohol. Good luck parking at the "resort" you pay big bucks for, I had to park across the street and was assured that it needed to by moved the next day or possible towing may occur. Overall for the price I expected more of a resort style stay and left feeling frustrated, tired, and disappointed.
