PALM SPRINGS RESPITEPosted Sep 8, 2015
Pros: easy access, close to wedding venue, food and shopping.
Cons: Need to see that facility is operating before promising amenities, and then travel and not have basic like ice machines working..
Location: see what we liked
Easy access, older hotel but well maintained. Hot tub and ice machine not working. Not good when you are traveling by car long distance and looking forward to relaxing. Pool was clean and nice in 109 degree weather.

When we arrived it was 117 degrees outside. The room we had booked was not available. We were upgraded to a different room but the key would not open the door. We stood out in the heat until they decided to upgrade us into a two bedroom suite. The room was very nice and we were great fun to get out of the heat. The people working there were very very nice

You Get What You Pay ForPosted Aug 1, 2015
Pros: Location was convenient. Breakfast was good and a nice variety of items. Room comfort was great All staff kind except morning crew.
Cons: Proper cooling for breakfast. A working pool, or at least some true idea of WHEN it would be available. Kinder am staff. Prompt graffiti removal.
Pool was out of order at check in. Promised for next day. Still out of order 3 days later. Fan in bathroom did not work, so it was really steamy after shower. Morning desk staff demanded to know "How is it broken" when I said fan didn't work. Breakfast was great, but central AC has been broken since winter and floor units not turned on, so it was miserable sitting there in the morning sun. We were told back breakfast room door was unsafe, so it was locked tite, forcing us to walk thru slippery puddles to get thru front lobby entrance. Fortunately, 2 of 3 days were cloudy thx to storm Dolores. Morning staff were abrupt, later staff very kind. reported broken glass in parking lot and it was soon gone, but graffiti is left untouched all around the back of the property. I'd still return. A much pricier place had a door latch shimmed with corrugated cardboard and a very inferior bathroom. Room cleanliness and comfort were great!

It's okPosted Jul 12, 2015
Room was clean, pool was closed, bathroom needed to be updated and was too small, toilet Handel was broken, only one sink that was in the bathroom, only one ice machine and it was on the second floor. Some suits had a separate bedroom but only had AC in the front room so bedroom was hot.

Not badPosted Jul 7, 2015 on Hotels
Over all not bad, ended being locked out.. Front desk couldn't figure out key system, so they broke a window and gave me an upgraded room and comped an extra night.

You get what you pay for, if you're lucky.Posted Jul 7, 2015
Pros: It was cheap. It was close to our family reunion. It didn't catch fire during our stay.
Cons: Fix the pool! Clean tables in breakfast area more often. Hire friendlier staff, that actually act happy to see a person checking in.
Location: Take the Palm Springs Tram up to Mount San Jacintco.
Stayed her last year and thought that this year could not be worse. It wasn't worse, but it was still pretty ghetto. The front desk staff were there physically, but mentally they checked out long ago. Though it was very hot outside (temps over 110 degrees), the pool was closed (even though it appears only the hot tub was out of commission). There was a breakfast offered, but he tables were dirty and the "cooked" food was horrible. Though it was nice to have a refrigerator in the room, the temperature control was off and due to a lack of markings, I could not figure out how to reduce the cold temp, so items froze over night. Overall, if you are looking for cheap, this is it. If you lower your expectations, you'll have less chance of being disappointed. As for me, I will never stay there again.

Hotter than usualPosted Jul 6, 2015
We didn't find out till we got there that the pool was closed it was only 107 that day. The air conditioning in one of the bedroom suites wasn't working correctly but didn't find out until late that evening so it was too late to complain about it but overall is a good place to get at the last minute.

The only thing was that the pool was under maintenance othet than that the room was nice and cool once we went in. We reserved a two queen bed suite it has a lil kitchen a fridge a lil living room.
