Fun looking hotel.... But beware!

Posted Jan 2, 2016
When we turned down the bed to get in, we found that the comforter was soggy wet! Who puts wet bedding on a bed?? It took hours to get replacement bedding.. Then, no heat in the room. (37 degrees F. Outside) Terrible night... We cut our stay short and checked out in the morning... But, the manager was happy to refund all of our money. She seemed to be used to it. I'd recommend passing on this hotel.

This hotel is not 4 star. It is updated but still feels old. It's not very comfortable. The walls are white and it's not very soothing. It smells old. My clothes all had strange odors from th room. The fringe mad weird sounds. I would not come back.

Disappointing from beginning to end.

Pros: Ordered breakfast in the room one day and this was a pleasant experience, service was fast and friendly, food was hot and good. Jacuzzi was nice.
Cons: Better communication with hotel guests about where to find things, times of activities, that breakfast is no longer served after 11. Better lighting.
Location: Location was fine- a little far from downtown. The bikes allow you to get to nearby attractions like hiking trails, horse stables, etc.
The only question that i asked the front desk during check-in was: "what time is yoga tomorrow morning." I was told 9AM. No, it was 8, missed it. The place is a maze, poor signage, fluorescent lights EVERYWHERE including in the guest rooms- i had to buy a candle it was so unpleasant. El Jefe was expensive for what it is. Heater in room was loud. Had to specially request basic amenities like bathrobes and blankets (it should've been a given since the weather was in 40's and 50's while there.. Being listed as a 4-star hotel is a total joke. Ended up being $700 for 3 nights and i would have left after the first night if i didn't reserve ahead of time. Stay somewhere nicer, you're not really saving money and at least you'll enjoy your time. Also, plus and minus for them being pet-friendly. Convenient if you've got a pet but prepare to listen to dogs barking in the rooms all day. A small thing, but the card keys kept getting deactivated. Like twice a day, so we'd have to make the trek all the way back to the lobby. And then the reception person had the nerve to blame me that i was doing something to deactivate it? Thanks but i've never had the issue where BOTH cards, one not even on my person would get deactivated.

Everything in one place

This hotel has it all- nice pool, hot tub, boche ball, small gym, two restaurants, and it's in a great location for a pretty low price. My wife and I stayed in a ground floor mountain view room and we slept in much longer than usual each night because the beds are so confortable and the rooms was so quiet.

Pros: The staff is very helpful and friendly.
Cons: The hotel is an old hotel that has been redone. They have tried, but it still feels like an old hotel.
This is an old hotel than has been redone but still feels like an old hotel. The rooms are huge if you need a big room. I would definitely not rate this a 4 star. 3 star is what I'd give it. The staff was very helpful.
