Great Place

Posted Jan 17, 2017
Pros: The staff was the BEST!
Cons: I got one of the rooms in the back and I don't think the updating had gotten there yet.
Location: GREAT!!!
The Vagabond Inn is a TERRIFIC place to stay!!!! Staff was unbelievable and could not have been more courteous! Great location. The rooms are being updated and that is a nice upgrade. You will enjoy this hotel.

The rooms need an update. The bed was not very comfortable and the air conditioner blew hot air. Fortunately the outside air was able to cool the room down. The staff, however were great. I'd go back for the staff.

Thank you so much for the review it is greatly appreciated. Our Central only system that is controlled by the outside temperature is being reviewed, since our most recent purchase of this hotel we recognize this and we hope to have a solution completed soon. Thanks again we can't wait to see you in the future.

Friendly staff, property is old, no problems.

Posted Jan 16, 2017
Continental breakfast was a plus! Staff very friendly and helpful! No problems. Older property so don't expect it to look beautiful. It's affordable and clean. Get a non smoking room.

HORRIBLE HOTEL - Stay Away

Posted Jan 16, 2017
Pros: ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!
Cons: 1) Fix the HOT WATER in the Rooms. 2) Update the Rooms, they are old and in bad condition. 3) Update the Continental Breakfast Food Quality.
This hotel was horrible. If I had to voice only one complaint it would be that there was no HOT WATER for showers. When you turned on the Hot Water, there was just a little Trickle coming out of the Faucet. If you turned on the Cold Water, it immediately became a Cold Shower. CMON! There was no Soap, Conditioner or Shampoo in the room. We had not packed any Shampoo, imagine our surprise when we realized that there was also none in the room. There was a White Plastic Tray on our Sink with nothing in it. Then, after we walked to the Front Desk and got some Shampoo, we realized it was where the items should have been. The AC Does not work, when we explained it to the Handyman, he told us to go to the Front Desk and get a fan for our room if it was too hot...... OR, we could just open our windows if we wanted air in the room.......... I am not sure how they rated so high on Expedia, but this now leaves us wondering how reliable Expedia is......

perfectly met our needs

We just needed a comfortable place to stay while working an event nearby. We loved the free breakfast which we ate at a table by the pool. The sun was shining--it was lovely!

Perfect for a family on a budget!

Posted Jan 7, 2017
From the outset we were having our own family issues with a sick kid and needing to postpone our reservation by a day. The staff (shout out to Faustina our she-ro!) were outstanding in their willingness to make us comfortable and work it all out. The pool is heated and lovely, the setting is quiet. This is not a fancy place, but if you are traveling on a budget and want your kids to feel welcome, it's perfect.

Perfect location for families

Posted Jan 1, 2017
Pros: We really appreciated the helpfulness of the staff as well as the great selections at the breakfast.
Location: Easy to find in downtown Palm Springs, close to Hwy 111 and all tourist attractions.
Our family lives in Palm Springs, but we needed overflow accommodations over the holiday. My wife and I stayed at the Vagabond Inn and were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The staff was beyond helpful - and I mean every person, from the front desk, to the housekeeping staff, and especially the young woman who ran the breakfast service - simply amazing! TOP NOTCH customer service at all levels. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the parking lot and pool area were well-kept. We are planning to bring the grandkids back over Spring break, and this is the only place we'll consider staying (and we have stayed in various locations around Palm Springs). If you're looking for a great value - this is the place to go.

Very nice hotel at the price.

Posted Dec 31, 2016
Pros: Silent locale. Staff was courteous. Large area around the sink.Good for a family.
Cons: Breakfast could definitely improve. Non-metallic keys.
Location: This is around the downtown area at the foothills. It has a pool and a Jacuzzi.
It's definitely a good hotel at the price. Walkable distance from restaurants. In the downtown area. At the foothills. We went in December and it was pleasant, but I am sure it would be more scenic in during the rains.
