Some good and some bad

Starting with the good, the bartender was excellent and had hotel maintenance fix an outdoor fire pit that wasn't working. The hotel maintenance came immediately and changed the gas and made sure the fire pit was working. That was unexpected and very much appreciated. The complimentary breakfast was really nice, and very good. The room was average and had a view of the air conditioning equipment. There was also a strange high pitched noise a lot of the night. We looked forward to swimming, but the pool was freezing and the hot tub was under construction.

The Beatles Stayed There

Pros: Great Breakfast......
The stay at the Crown Plaza Cabana hotel was very pleasant and enjoyable for us. We liked the location very much. The service people everywhere were very nice and polite. We liked the breakfast very very much. The main problem we faced was the lack of air condition in the room.

Excellent customer service ..the manager went above and beyond trying to help me with my mom who was in crutches, he took her to the room, and loaned us a wheelchair for the whole stay, and even to take it with us to the soccer games we had. Food was excellent and the room was very comfortable

Dear Crown Plaza, Charles the desk clerk was an awesome liaison for us from the hotel. We had a great stay. Give him a raise, he earns it when you arent knowing it. He is doing the little things to make a stay great for the hotel guests. That is a keeper. Figured you should know. Thanks for making us feel special. Two thumbs up. Best Regards..

Mixed feelings

Overall we had an OK stay. It's so mixed because we didn't have the best check-in process. There's one lane for cars to pull up and we got stuck in the driveway longer than expected. The reservation was in my name but they weren't going to let my husband check in with our intinerary number while I was in the back of the car with sleeping child. When he got annoyed, they did let him. We got to our room and found the rooms to be dated and spider webs in our bathroom with dead fruit flies in them. Yuck. The pool area was nice (also a little dated) but I'm allergic to bees and they were a problem on one side of the pool. Nice that someone came out on Saturday to take drink orders poolside it gave me a better impression of the place. Had a GREAT experience sitting at a fire table on the patio with a glass of wine and water fountain next to us. Lovely. It was An OK stay just lots of plus's and minus's. Breakfast was great; good food, great service every day, friendly staff. Not sure I'd come back but if you're looking for some good amenities and not as concerned with having a fancy room it will work for you.
