Nice condo across from the beach

Posted Oct 18, 2017
Pros: The main pool and its landscaping The tennis courts Tram system
Cons: Individually owned condos can be checked for wear and tear on furniture and appliances.
Location: The condos are located across the street from the gulf - 5 min walk to the beach. Resort centrally located to restaurants and beach stores.
The amenities of this resort were outstanding - the main pool, golf course, and all of the landscaping made for a very pleasing getaway. Having arrived on the cusp of Hurricane Nate, the gulf waters were closed off to the public swimming due to riptide hazards so having such an expansive pool on site was much needed. The golf-cart tram system was also very helpful to easily move between the golf course resort/condo to the pool and oceanfront. The condos are all individually owned. Our condo was older and fairly well-kept. We enjoyed the amount of space the 1 bedroom condo had to offer. After only expecting to have a 1 bed, 1 bath, 1 pullout sofa, we were surprised to have 2 beds in the bedroom, 2 full baths, and a large living room with a pullout sofa.

First visit.

Posted Oct 15, 2017
Pros: Location staff. Rooms are very clean
Cons: If your going to ask for a cleaning fee I would think I wouldn’t be asked to take out my own trash, linings and wash dishes before leaving.
Location: Great restaurants and attractions.
Entrance to hotel is a little confusing. When checking staff very friendly and helpful. Was disappointed in having to pay for a parking pass. I would think that would be included in with the stay and was shocked to have to pay for a printed paper tag with hand written daypyes on it. WiFi was not working in room. Text the front desk and staff give nemeses some quick fixes but didn’t work. Was add to log on to the room next door which worked but was very slow. Staff put in a work order and the problem was fixed two days later. Had lunch at the resturant at the pool. Staff was very nice and helpful but was extremely short handed.

Nice facilities. Nice people. To bad Panama City Beach itself is a trash hole but at least the hotel and condos were nice.

Great view

It would be great to have more hot tubs. It turned windy and cold so the one hot tub was crowded.

Beach Bliss

Posted Oct 2, 2017
Pros: You can't beat the main pool area.
Cons: The only fault of the room was the lack of chairs on the balcony as I love to sit and look at the ocean. Strangely two tables, but no chairs.
Location: It is right on the PC strip with loads of restaurants and shopping nearby.
We had a two bedroom condo facing the beach in Tower II. But the main pool area of the Edgewater could not be better. It is lovely, and it is so easy to go back and forth from the pool to the beach. We had a banquet for almost 600 people on Saturday night and they accommodated gluten and dairy-free dietary needs that were not pre-planned with no fuss. I was impressed.

Rip off

Posted Oct 1, 2017
So upon booking the hotel I was already sketchy about the cleaning fee. My fiance and I just wanted a nice get away for the weekend. Upon arrival we were charged $160 which breaks down to $80 for cleaning a fee for parking pass and taxes. We had to change the linens... Load the dishwasher and empty our own trash...Which made me ask the question why are we cleaning if we're paying a cleaning fee? Love Panama city but the prices at these condos are ridiculous and the room was not that great or up to date. The ceiling in the bathroom had water damage and was open to where you could see pipes and wiring. Overall I would not come back!!!!

Dated, poorly maintained condos, avoid if you can!

Posted Sep 18, 2017
Pros: Not one thing
Cons: Staff, maintenance, web site, parking, furniture, fixtures....basically everything.
Location: Panama City Beach is fairly quiet and has no real attractions save for just being on the beach. OK if you are nearby and just want a beach day.
While we understood this property was not part of a hotel chain, don't believe the limited pics you see on the web site. This property is NOT a resort, just a collection of tower on one side of the road and town homes on the other, handed over to a management company. We rented a 3 bedroom 2 bath unit and when we walked into the unit it was clearly an old condo unit with dated furniture, musty smell, horrid beds, and a toaster which sparked. The tub had dirt and grass in it, and baseboards looked water damaged. Within an hour, maintenance knocked to tell us our unit was leaking into the unit below and its roof was falling. Management told us they had no responsibility as they just represent the actual unit owner. We couldn't even get a refund directly but were told we had to fight with Expedia. The "front desk" is staffed by slow people with poor attitudes and little technology. Unless you have absolutely no choice, avoid this property at all costs. I'm sure some units may be better than what we encountered, but a property with so little quality control, such misleading web marketing, and such a hands-off, no accountability position does not deserve to survive in the market.
