Loved having an ocean view condo.

Pros: Ocean view balcony
Cons: Nothing
Location: Beach, restaurants, golfing and boat tours (Shell Island). Beautiful place to visit in October.
The washer and dryer in my room will need some work-very loud and the dryer did not completely dry clothes. Other than that, my experience was wonderful and I will stay here again.

OK but no Internet

We were on the 11th floor, the view was great, the condo was ok, but there was no Internet, which could mean that you are completely isolated. Also, access from the parking structure is complicated-you have to go up and down 3 elevators and wind your way through the complex to get to your condo.

location / view great; amenities and staff terible

the room and view are spectacular. if you can get past the faults, you will enjoy your stay. the faults, however, are many. NO amenities. only thing in the suite was TP and two mini shampoos. no tissues, no paper towels, no dish soap or cleaning supplies, no salt / pepper, no coffee - none of the basics you would expect in your basic Quality Inn, much less a suite with full kitchen. NO wifi. the desk said you could connect via an ethernet cable to the jack in the wall, and that there should be an ethernet cable in the room. there wasn't. if you have a phone or tablet without an ethernet port, you will be SOL. checkin was two nights (the minimum). we booked via Expedia. due at checkin were additional fees - for cleaning, parking, and whatever else - that totaled the amount of one night stay. so, the full price of the room turns out to be 50% higher than advertised on Expedia. you are given two wrist bands for access to the resort grounds. these must be returned on checkout, or else you will be charged $20 per band. we left ours in the room upon checkout - 10:00. we got a call at 11:30 asking about the bands. were told they had to be returned TO THE DESK, or else we would be charged. fortunately we were still in town, eating breakfast. had we been on the road, we would have had to pay the $40. we had to return to the hotel, have the desk give us a key to the room, go up to the room, get the bands, and bring them to the desk. A scam - most will just pay.

Not a Resort!

This is not a Resort! They have no valet parking. It's a bunch of condos rented out like some timeshares. I would of have to walked half a mile from my car to the room and im handicapped. Not sure but they most likely have no services at all except to take your money! I went to the address to check in and had to go somewhere else 3 or 4 mlies away to get the room key. I get there thinking the place was paid for on expedia $145 and they wanted and they wanted $155 for the resort fee! I did not pay it and check in. I called expedia to cancel the reservation and no one answered my call. I want my money back.

Not so good

Pros: The view of the ocean
Cons: Allot
The showers where moldyand the water went down very slowly so you were standing in water up to your ankles the whole time in the shower. The fan was noisy hard to sleep when alls you here is ticking.

Horrible room

The carpet was filthy, unvacummed hair balls, walls were all marked up, sliding doors wouldn't close fully. Only good thing it had an ocean view. Check in was at 4:00 pm but no later than 5:00 pm. Seriously disappointed and not sure I would ever book another hotel room through Expedia. Can only fit two photos. Have others.

Great view of the beach from the high floors

Pros: Everything else besides the areas that need to be improved.
Cons: Install a/c in the elevators, reimburse the cleaning fee if the room is left cleaned or don't charge at all, offer free drinks at the Tiki Bar by pool
Location: There are a lot of shops nearby to purchase souvenirs, a go kart race track, 18 hole putt putt, and plenty of restaurants to choose from.
Overall the experience was great. I loved the view of the beach from where my family and I were staying (19th floor). I did not expect it to be an apartment, considering its a hotel, you would expect it to be a nice hotel suite. So, we got the full size living area, a kitchen, a couple of bathrooms, bunk beds and multiple bedrooms plus a spacious back patio with an excellent view of the beach and gulf. There were even dishes and utensils in the cabinets and drawers which was a plus because we bought groceries and cooked without purchasing extra supplies. It felt like we were right at home. Another good thing was they have a parking garage. The only downfalls were, the elevators were being occupied for a while so you had to wait for a few minutes and they were not air conditioned. They charge extra for a cleaning fee, whether you leave the apartment cleaned or followed instructions of how to leave the room when checking out. The room where the gym is located felt like they were missing half of the equipment and only filled up half the room. All resorts that I have been to never charged me for drinks at the bar, but this place does.

On the beach condo

Condo is on the beach. The lobby and bar area are nice. Our room was dated and needs an overhaul immediately.

Nice but no A/C!

Pros: Kiddie pool, parking deck, plenty of room
Cons: The A/C of course!
Everything was nice except the air in room 631!! Never got below 75, we called and Emerald sent a repair guy. He showed up and inspected. His words were "He was surprised it was cooling at all"! He cleaned filter and drain which was overflowing into the kitchen and replaced a part. He said it should cool now, well it did lol, it got down to 73 and thank goodness it was cloudy and rainy because that's the only reason it got that cooler. So we called them back and they said they were going to send someone up to recheck it again. After a couple hours I called them back and they said he was on the way. I said ok, sit up till midnight which was another hour and a half and no one showed! It may not seem like much but its not cool as we like it and for the price we paid for room, it should be at temp we want! Actually thought about reporting to better business bureau. Called Emerald and they did give a partial refund but couldn't refund more because we booked through expedia! Now I got to get on the phone with them and go over all this again! HOPE EXPEDIA READS THIS AND CALLS ME BACK FIRST!
