Fabulous place

Wonderful hotel, very friendly staff, good location, nice pool and beach area. We would stay here again and hope to return again soon. Lots to see and do in the area. Loved walking on pier to private beach.

We arrived at 4am after a long drive from Miami escaping from Irma. The staff was kind, the room was flawless and the location very comfortable. We were all very happy with our stay.

Pros: Awesome amenities, reasonably priced, dog friendly - yet, clean and beautifully decorated, multiple pools, restaurants and activities onsite
Cons: I can't think of anything.
Location: Golfing, tennis, Shell Island shuttle, Pier Park, restaurants, mini-golf, Wonder Works, restaurants, etc., etc.
I can't say enough about this hotel. It is a real resort not just a hotel. Not only is this hotel beautiful but the surroundings are just as beautiful. We stayed for 3 days and we never left the hotel. Everything you need is onsite - food, drinks, golf, tennis, water sports, bicycles, restaurants, room service, pool and beach bars - even complimentary beach towels for you to use while at the pool or the beach. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The bartenders at Flip Flops pool bar were the best! We especially enjoyed walking our 2 dogs along the pier each morning. You would think that a dog-friendly hotel would not be as clean as most, but our room was beautiful and clean. Kudos to this resort for allowing dog lovers to bring their furry babies along for a great vacation. If Little Bit and Jack Jack could talk, I'm sure they would rave about the delicious Bark Burger!

Lots of amenities and a beautiful view.

Awesome location. Great boardwalk over the bay to the "beach" area. Although we loved the private "beach", I believe it was because we mostly had it to ourselves almost the entire time. I do not see how that area is fitting to accommodate anymore than 20 people at a time. So, if you are coming to walk the beach expect to drive somewhere down the road from the hotel to do so. Other than that, and the fact that the room that I paid for was not available due to renovations and was switched without me being told which was a dissapointment, the hotel is pretty awesome. The pools, fitness area, bicycles, and dining options were fantastic!

So glad you enjoyed your stay despite the relocation of your room due to the renovations. On your next visit, we recommend the Shell Island trip on our Bay Point Lady shuttle boat for access to the Gulf Beaches, especially if you like having it all to your self. Sounds like you enjoyed many of the amenities here at the Resort and thank you for sharing your experience.

Beautiful Resort!

We went to Panama city for labor day weekend. This resort is absolutely beautiful! The view of the water from the pool bar is amazing. We loved the private beach and private shuttle to shell island. We will be back!

Luxury resort??

Pros: The location of the hotel was nice and traffic free due to the fact that it's located in an exclusive area of town.
Cons: The accuracy of the hotel staff in giving me the correct room number initially. Don't leave empty cans of insect forgers laying on the floor
Location: Nice location with lots to do nearby
I arrived and checked in approximately at 3:45 PM. IT took me over 1 hour to get into my room because the hotel clerk gave me the wrong room number. My room (villa) was located away from the main building in a separate building near he golf course. So after two trips (had to get in my car and drive) to the main building, the finally got it right and was in my room around 5:00PM. The first thing I saw when I walked into my room was 2 empty cans of insect fogger, one in the main room and one in the bedroom. Not much of a good first impression when entering a room of a "luxury resort". I tried calling guest services on the room phone but the battery on the cordless phone's handset was dead. There wasn't a do not disturb sign to hang on the door either. Thankfully the management agreed to compensate me and my family for such inconvenience. The hotel's website also misrepresented the actual location of the villa that I booked in the photos . I booked what I thought and according to the pictures was a bay view room overlooking the water when in actuality, the room was on the golf course .

Pros: Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Cleaning service could be moved up in time.
Location: Several Golf courses and Beach areas.
Great short stay. Nice facilities and good dining.

The former Marriott needed a makeover, the Sheraton did a great job from the lobby, the bar and especially the rooms. A great experience

Not sure if I'd go back

So everything was great until we went to the pool side bar. My boyfriend and I are young and I thought maybe that was the issue but we sat at the bar for 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged us and that was because I finally asked for a drink menu. The hotel restaurant was even worse where they served breakfast. Not enough staff in my opinion. But the hotel was nice. Eh
