Summerland Beach House was a fantastic experience for our group. We had 4 adults, 4 teens, and 2 young children between our two families and the house had more than enough space for everyone to be comfortable. The home is well-maintained and had all the amenities and conveniences we needed to cook meals and just hang out at the pool or the beach.
The house does sit right on Hwy 98, so our only complaint was that you could hear road noise while sitting on the deck which sometimes drowned out the ocean sounds, though traffic was usually much lighter after dark. Down at the beach, however, we couldn't hear the cars at all.
One nice thing about its location is that it sits just far enough away from the primary public beach area of Mexico Beach, that most people don't want to walk all the way down to where the house is, so the beach in front of the house was generally quiet. Us and our neighbors were usually the ones out there.
Overall, I'd recommend this house to anyone who wants easy access to the beach (beachfront for the win!), a lovely private pool, and the many nice restaurants and shops of Mexico Beach and Port St Joe. When we weren't playing in the sand or splashing in the pool, our group had a blast playing shuffleboard in the living room and watching the sunsets from the deck. It was a memorable week!
