We like to hear that the location was close to Perico Island to move to different restaurants. In the recommendation that makes us on the bottle of water in the room, we will take your comment to improve and provide you with good service. Best regards,

Faded. Needs lots of updating.

Posted Jan 11, 2017
Pros: The view on the water side.
Cons: Major upgrades all around. Painting, new furniture and fixtures, care and maintenance.
Location: Artisanal marketplace within walking distance. Lots of restaurants and shops on the Amador causeway.
We first stayed at the Amador Country Inn and Suites nine years ago and again four years ago. The location is excellent for viewing vessels queuing up to enter the Panama Canal. Unfortunately, the intervening years have not been kind. The hotel is sadly faded. Major upgrades would be required to make it acceptable to us once again. The hallways and common areas are dingy. Our room smelled musty upon arrival. Had it not been late at night when we arrived, I would have sought accommodation elsewhere. The hotel does boast a great view on the water side, but it fails to compensate for the overall shabbiness of the facility.

Can't beat the Location!

Posted Dec 30, 2016
Pros: Location and view
Cons: Continue to work on improving the old building
Location: On the entrance to the Amador Causeway adjacent to the marina and ferry to the islands
Loved the location. Spend a little bit more and get a balcony overlooking the ship entrance to the canal - never a dull moment! The hotel is old but well maintained. The inclusive buffet breakfast is very good and the staff work very hard to ensure cleanliness and that the platters are filled. Hotel staff are helpful and friendly and the rooms are kept very clean.

We had a one night layover waiting for a cruise. It rained but we were dry and comfortable. The restaurant was noisy and service was poor...It was a TGIFriday The breakfast area was not part of TGIFriday and was clean, service was great as was the food. If my destination had been Panama this would have been a good choice.

Good view of ships

Posted Dec 7, 2016
Pros: Great view of canal
Cons: The staff is very grouchy. We have stayed here 3 times and every time the same staff is there and they are so grouchy.
We only stay here because of the view watching the ships pass through.

We like it so much that every time we visit we select the hotel to stay, for the great view of the sea that we have and that you can see the ships passing by. In the feedback that makes us the staff will take the necessary measures to improve customer service and the most important thing that does not happen again. We appreciate your opinion, we are very interested. Regards,

Traffic Problems

Posted Nov 14, 2016
Pros: Fabulous view of the ships coming and going toward the Panama Canal and Bridge of the Americas
Cons: Rooms without a view.
Location: We walked to the Biomuseo, and the Balboa yacht club and shuttled to Albrook Mall. The mall shuttle got us closer to town, but the mall was boring.
It took us two hours from our 5 pm flight arrival at Albrook Airport to get to the hotel by taxi. I thought that I had booked a canal-view room, but was given a parking lot view standard room. The front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating and I did manage an upgrade, but the rooms are old and in need of renovation. The best part about the stay was the view of the waterfront, nice pool and decent breakfast. Once is enough for this hotel. We will not be staying there again.

We are very pleased with your opinion that you enjoyed our staff's attention, friendly and helpful, the view of the Panama Canal and Puente de Las Americas. Delicious and rich breakfast. The area lends itself to being able to walk to diverse places like BioMuseo, Balboa Yatch Club, to go to the Mall Albrook Mall. The suggestion that makes us is important for us in the subject of the renovation and maintenance of the Hotel, we will take all the details to improve. Sincerely;

Hotel is 60 years old and it shows.

Posted Nov 14, 2016
Pros: The view from the room. We could see the Bridge of the Americas and the ships going underneath, which was a nice sight.
Cons: The central airco in the room.
Location: Area must have been nice in the 50s/60s but is now dilapidated and dirty. Nearby, boat trips and whale watching; the Bio-museum.
Horrible central airco. Too cold in room and could only turn it on or off. Noisy too. Didn't make for a comfortable sleep. Breakfast was okay, staff not very friendly. Reception staff helpful and friendly. WiFi was good. Nice to have TGIF in the building for a decent meal.

Handy location for the Ferry to Isla Contadora

Posted Nov 12, 2016
Pros: Breakfast and Location
Cons: Needs updating and new linen, properly washed before new guests arrive.
The was hair in a bed, luckily the room had two beds and I pulled the other back and it was hair free. The hotel is very dated and requires investment, but was not overly busy so I suspect that wont happen, service was fine and breakfast was good.

We like your comment that you like the location of the hotel, so close to take the Ferry to Contadora Island. Knowing that breakfast and service were very good. Your opinion interests us a lot, our clients are the most important and the satisfaction they may have during their stay; We will verify that the bed linen is clean, and hair in the same before each arrival, also the subject of the maintenance. We appreciate your recommendation. Sincerely,
