Nice, convenient hotel across from the marina.Posted Apr 8, 2017
The hotel sits conceniently between Avenida Balboa and Cinta Costera (Carretera Panamericana) overlooking the Miramar marina. It is the only hotel between the two roadways, making it closest to the water with an unimpeded view of the marina and the Pacific. The staff was very pleasant and attentive. The concierge was located on the sixth floor rather than the lobby and not always available. When unavailable, the hotel staff was accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable with a great view of the water. The restaurant and bar are located off the lobby, and we received one complimentary drink voucher per person upon arrival. The restaurant offered a buffet or al-a-carte dining experience and had excellent food, but was a bit pricy. There was nearby dining with excellent restaurants within walking distance of the hotel, approximately three to five blocks away down Calle Republica de Uruguay. We also found a small Panamanian cafe directly across Avenida Balboa where we were able to purchase fresh fruit and made-to-order omelets or sandwiches for breakfast and lunch. The hotel had an excellent gym with almost every type of weight and cardio machine and a large pool. There was also a well used running path along the marina located directly across Cinta Costera. Overall a very pleasant hotel to stay at while in Panama with lots of nearby conveniences.

Disappointing hotelPosted Feb 20, 2017 on Ebookers
Pros: Good wifi and air con. Rooms were clean and comfortable
Cons: Get the staffing levels right, as the service was poor.
Location: Near shops, other hotels and places to eat are within walking distance.
Stayed for 4 nights. Everything about the hotel was bear minimum. All the staff seemed to be trainees, but they were not being supervised so the service was not great. At one point neither of the 2 people behind the bar knew how to use a corkscrew. There are 2 lifts to service the majority of the 25 floors so don't be in a rush to go anywhere if you need to use the lift. There didn't seem to be enough staff to cover the bar and also the pool area so it was difficult to get anything to eat or drink by the pool, and if you did manage to catch someone, you had to wait a long time for whatever you asked for. This is not a 5 star hotel. There was a lot of noisy renovation work being done too which didn't help. In terms of value there are much better hotels nearby who do give much better service. The rooms were clean and comfortable, it is the service that lets this hotel down.

Room was old and not presentablePosted Nov 30, 2016
Very bad rooms for a five star hotel. No good decorations and very old amenities. Room was very unpleasant and I would definetwly would not stay at this hotel again. The hotel food was not hot at times and the staff does not seem to emphasize the need to check on food temperatures. Staff not friendly as one would expect from a five star hotel. Bad experience overall. This seems to be more a condo space rather than a five star hotel.

Panama VacationPosted Apr 18, 2016 on Hotels
Very good experience, staff was very accommodating and a pleasure to interact with. We ate at the breakfast buffet for each of our four days stay and were happy with the selection, quality, and quantity of the food as well the service. We used the pool facilities which were not crowded. The pool was clean and adequate to cool off in after a day of 35 degree sightseeing. Would defineately stay again.

Great hotel in a great location in the City. Staff was very attentive. Buffet breakfast was excellent. Rooms were quite large, although they showed some wear, and many had ocean views. The pool was long enough to swim laps. Everything was very nice. Just be advised that the price shown on the Hotels website does not include a mandatory fee for in-room Wifi of $15.50.
