Quiet hotel

Posted Feb 18, 2017
Pros: Quiet, nice and modern
Cons: Please change the music of the pool, it was the same cd playing over and over again.
Location: Visit miraflores locks, or summit park. It was very easy to find the hotel.
This is the third or fourth time I stayed here. Always clean, and quiet, love the location. Although I requested a pool view, they gave me view to one side of the hotel, where only can see dry trees and just a little part of the golf club. I wished they had noticed my request of the pool view..... check in it was supposed to be at 3 o'clock, but I arrived at 4:30 pm, and the room were already been cleaning by the staff, but my daughters and me wait at the lobby in the meantime. I decided not to make any complain of both of these issues.

Beautiful location in the rainforest

Posted Jan 14, 2017
Pros: The location and the wildlife
Cons: The cleanliness overall could be better. The carpets and some of the furniture were in poor condition and some of the common area furniture was filthy
Location: Soberania National Park, The Discovery Centre, Summit Botanical Gardens and Zoo, Miraflores Locks, for shopping a free shuttle to Allbrook Mall
We really liked the location in the rainforest and that it was accessible to the Discovery Centre, Soberania National Park and other wildlife areas. The wildlife and birds at the hotel were wonderful. Unfortunately, when we checked in there was very little information about the grounds or surrounding areas. The Summit Botanical Gardens and Zoo are located just five minutes away by car and has an amazing aviary for the Harpy Eagle. It is linked to the Smithsonian and the animals and birds are primarily rescued. Some are rehabilitated and returned to the wild. Those that cannot return to the wild are cared for at the park, like the Harpy Eagle that was confiscated from a community in the Darien. This is not a zoo it is a wildlife centre for the preservation, research and saving species from extinction. Some of the enclosures are small but many of the animals are not there for long. With support these areas can be improved. This is a great place to take children and lots of space for family picnics.

Hotel with great tropical view

Posted Dec 29, 2016
The hotel is located a bit far from the city, but if you want to disconnect for a couple of days from the daily hassles of the city, this is the place to stay. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The gym is outdated and most machines are not in working condition, and the restaurant takes forever to bring your food. Be prepared to wait at least 40 minutes for your food. Other than those two things, the hotel is great and you can always go on the trails for a walk and use the complementary shuttle to go to the mall, zoo, or the Miraflores Canal.

Golf Away from the City

Posted Sep 25, 2016
Pros: Staff, restaurant and golf course
Cons: water glasses and coffee service in room
Location: Airport 20 minutes pending traffic but nothing within walking distance off property.
Enjoyed my stay and round of golf. Staff is friendly and helpful, If you don't take the toll road from Panama City during traffic time be prepared for a long drive, 2 hours vs 20 minutes on a Friday afternoon. Breakfast buffet was not extensive but good and the local selections on the menu for dinner were interesting. No coffee or water glasses in room were my only problems. Pool inviting, views from property attractive, nothing close by to disturb the solitude. I would stay again and hopefully play the golf course better.

Hotel is located in the middle of the forest which makes a great view. The hotel needs a little bit maintenance. Nevertheless it is clean with the exception of the water of the pools which did not look fully clean.
