Nice stay. New-ish hotel in a good location. Good service and great staff. Hotel overall isn’t quite as good as comparable (expensive) priced hotels elsewhere on the island. Or as good as we had been led to believe by all the fantastic reviews. Small touches can make a big difference. Needing to pay for a spa treatment to use the (empty) saltwater pool was disappointing. Service at a busy breakfast room needs some polishing. Service during dinners at the two restaurants we tried was excellent, though. Food also very good.
Not quite up to charging 5* prices yet but with better training of all staff and addressing some minor details it could be.
We enjoyed our stay but having arrived from a stay at the similarly priced Four Seasons and Amara Hotels, the Amavi just needs to work on the small touches to get everything right.
Still, we enjoyed our stay, but likely wouldn’t return when there are better all round options available nearby.
