We booked a family room that had adjoining door, so we'd be close together, but still maintain our privacy. Unfortunately the rooms were located in the basement which had a damp smell and must not be completely sealed from the outdoors, as we noticed an ant infestation in one room, and we found a small slug in the other room complete with slime trail. This even happened without us opening the windows. I also noticed a patch of what appeared to be black mold in our bathroom, which is not only unsafe to breathe, but also disgusting. It was not the luxury experience we are used to, or had hoped for.
Other than those issues, the staff were all friendly, and the breakfast was decent, and we had lunch on the first day, which was pretty good. Its located in an area of Rome that isn't so close to the monuments, and I'm going to stay closer to city center next time. Also, there is no real connection to Lord Byron, and the Art Deco decor is less period, but more 1980's deco inspired which was disappointing. Overall, it was ok, but anyone reading this should request a room on one of the upper floors.
