Convenient for metro but not for everything else

This was good as it was very close to 2 metro stations and not far from the centre or arc de triomphe but the hotel is very small and the rooms were tiny, which we understand is a Parisian thing. It was perhaps not as clean as we had hoped and there was only a few lamps in the room so it was quite dark. It's fine for a city break if you're only there for a night or two but we wouldn't recommend it if you're staying longer than that to book somewhere more comfortable, as the two of us struggled with the amount of space and we only had enough things for the one night. The hotel is good value for the money and the reception staff were helpful. It's in an alright area, with bars and restaurants so if you don't really mind where you're staying for the night, for the money it's fair.

Cher client, Je suis vraiment navrée de lire que vous n'avez pas aimé votre séjour à l'hôtel BEST WESTERN Elysées Paris Monceau. Je suis également très étonnée par votre retour sur notre personnel de réception qui travaille avec nous depuis de nombreuses années. Il serait intolérable de leur part d'avoir des accords fallacieux avec des faux taxis et permettez moi d'avoir quelques réserves quant à votre retour. Bien entendu après lecture de votre avis, la direction a immédiatement vérifié les agissements de nos réceptionnistes et n'avons remarqué aucun anomalie. Je suis désolée d'apprendre que vous n'avez pas aimé la rue de Constantinople au calme par rapport à la rue de Rome, passante et bruyante. Basic hotel

We stayed two nights in Dec. Apart from its location the hotel was lacking in some basic facilities for a three star property. The facial tissue box was left empty one day and no replenishments were provided for tea and coffee or milk in the room the next. Safe box in the room was not working. Hand liquid soap in the dispenser was almost empty. Staff were fine. Be careful of the steps when getting kn or out of the lift. They are quite narrow and you could miss one and tumble down.

chambre correcte mais un peu petite. Le robinet de la douche était cassé. Il manquait une ampoule à la lampe de bureau.

service ok mais chambre bruyante de l'extérieur (sur rue, fenetre mal isolée) et de l'intérieur (bruit du couloir, des chambres autour)

Je suis ravie de voir que notre personnel a été à la hauteur de vos attentes. En revanche je suis navrée de voir que vous avez trouvé les alentours bruyants et notamment entre les chambres. Nous avons tout mis en oeuvre pour optimiser l’acoustique des chambres et leur insonorisation mais cela peut arriver que des voisins soient trop bruyants. Quant à la rue de Constantinople, celle-ci est surtout passante en journée du fait des nombreux bureaux aux alentours et devient plus calme le soir. Lors d'un prochain séjour je vous conseille de demander une chambre côté cour. Dans la mesure du possible nous mettons nos clients de ce côté de l'immeuble lorsqu'on nous le demande. Awful in just about every way

My experience was beyond awful. When I arrived, I went to check-in and was told "sorry but there are no rooms available". This was despite my room being guaranteed for late arrival. Another man entered and said he was in the same situation and waiting for it to be resolved. One hour later, the other man was sent to another hotel, and we were given a room in the attic. My main complaint was that given the slant of the roof, we could not stand up on one side of the bed - we had to bend over almost completely and walk sideways -- and I'm only 5"2. Not really feasible. As a result, when getting up to use the toilet in the night I first had to wake my husband and get him out of bed so I could go. Add to this the room was musty and the window didnt open to air it out (for regulation violation!). I asked the staff if there was a way to open it, they couldnt figure anything iut either. The air conditioner leaked water. There was no elevator up to our room in the attic though the hotel advertises having an elevator. When I brought this all to the staff and managers attention the next day - they indicated this was entirely acceptable in a "Classic Room", and they really couldnt do anything. My experience 2 weeks before when I stayed here is that it was decent enough though had terrible staff. I figured I'd get a decent room again, but I was wrong.

Dear Avid traveler w, Thank you for taking some time to comment your stay with us. I am deeply sorry to see that you disliked your second stay with us. We had problems with 2 rooms in the hotel and must put them "Out of Service" that is why you had to wait for the room in the attic to be available and the other guest to go in another hotel. I notice all the remarks you wrote regarding your stay to forward them to my direction to fix these problems. Regarding the elevator, due to the architecture of the hotel it cannot go up to the 6th floor and on the different websites where you can find the hotel we are not able to indicate that it stops between floors, but only write if there is one or not. Be sure that we will consider your remarks to give the best service we can for you and the future guests. Despite this experience, I hope that we will have the opportunity to welcome you again to show you our improvements. Best regards.
