Hotel Ampere is a neighborhood gem

Posted May 17, 2017
Located in a quiet part of Paris, near a bustling square and metro station. The hotel Ampere lives up to its four star rating. Staff is knowledgeable, helpful and very kind. Though slightly off the beaten path the metro makes it very easy to get to any area of Paris within 10-20 minutes. Local restaurants are plentiful and varied and priced from $$to$$$. This was our third time in Paris and stayed for two weeks. The hotel Ampere made us feel very welcome and when we return again to Paris we will certainly stay at the hotel Ampere. Highly recommended!

partners 60th birthday

Posted May 9, 2017
Lovely hotel and staff were superb, 20 mins walk from the arc de triomphe must see! But be preparared for the stairs, although I believe there's a lift somewhere. Only a couple of things I didn't like was thaere wasn't enough English movies or channels to watch for free or rent.if weathers bad and your stuck in your room the only channels are news which constantly repeat. Thank god I had my iPad.and I think they're overly priced to rent.the only other little thing was how mean they was with the tea sugar coffee,we were only allowed one of each per person per day.no extras even if you ask,so take extra coffee etc In your luggage.other then that a lovely city and lovely people we'll be back.

Dear Stacey, Thanks for this comment concerning your stay at Ampere hotel in Paris. Your compliment in respect to the staff is really appreciated. Thanks for pointing out our closeness to tourist spots. We take note of your observations. For the elevator we had no problems since the end of the work in early March. As for the English movies, there is no 100% anglophone channel and 100% free. But we offer videos on demand at the following prices: 7 € the movie or all the films (70 box office) at 12 € for 24 hours. Regarding the extra tea/coffee, the additional requests are free of charge in Fair Use, meaning except for numerous and recurring requests. We hope to welcome you again in this charming place. Kind regards,

Save your money.....this is not a 4-Star hotel

Posted May 2, 2017
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Too much to mention but first step is to review the quality category this hotel is pitched at.
Location: Location is fairly central. Access to central attractions in Paris is relatively easy.
Chose this hotel initially as it was categorised as a 4-star. Very poorly trained (if at all) reception staff and seriously understaffed. Our room was very small, shower had no light in the ceiling, bed linen was questionable as it gave us an itch. Even something as simple as replacing the TV remote batteries proved a challenge for this hotel's staff; it took them 2 days to replace our expired tv remote batteries as they could not find anyone or any spares to replace them initially. Very disappointing in all aspects. When we complained to the reception staff the best they could say was that we booked a classic category room not a premier room. The biggest problem with this hotel is that they misreperesent the quality in their ads. They certainly make you pay 4-star rates for 2-star quality. So be warned, you are better off going to a cheaper 2-star or 3-star hotel instead, as this one will only disappoint.

Dear Guest, We thank you for publishing your opinion about your experience with our place. The guests' comments are valuable to keep improving. Thank you for mentioning our good location, with the metro within 100 meters, in the pretty Plaine Monceau area, one of the most sought-after in Paris. We apologize for the delay in the replacement of the TV remote batteries. We will investigate to avoid this in the future. We do have a stock of batteries at the reception. We feel sincerely sorry your experience didn't reach your expectations for a 4 star hotel. Hour rooms measure 21 sqm (premium room), 24 (executive) 32 (junior suite) to 37.5 sqm (suite). The entire team do hope that we will have the chance to see you on your next visit. With renewed thanks,

Nice hotel, friendly & polite staff, but...

Posted May 1, 2017
Nice hotel and the staff were friendly and polite, but nothing is special. No one answered my phone at the reception although tried twice and it was only just after 9pm. The main entrance door was locked at 8am when my friend came to meet me to the hotel. They kindly changed the bath mat which was hung on the hook of the wall in the bathroom. I hung it on the wall with the intention to save the environment as suggested via the note from the hotel! Something lacks consistency.... but, it was overall clean and comfortable.

Dear Client, Thanks for the point of view about your time at Ampere hotel in Paris. A service of quality plays a key role in the stay of the customer. We are thrilled to have been up to it. Your nice testimony means a lot to us. We take note of your remarks and apologize for the inconvenience. In fact, our exit doors are supposed to be closed around 11:00 PM et opened around 06:00 AM. Moreover, after 09 PM there is only one receptionist at the front desk. In case he is taking care of a guest in a room, he is not able to answer to the phone. Thanks for alluding to the comfort, cleanliness and stylish decoration of this place. We hope to have the occasion to welcome you back again. Yours sincerely,

Nice hotel in a quiet neighbourhood

Posted Apr 25, 2017
Pros: It was clean, comfortable and very easy to access by public transportation. There was an outside garden that you could go out to and sit, relax.
Location: Located near the Metro and RER train lines. So it that made it easy to visit many parts of the city. There are restaurants near and local stores.
Hotel Ampere was easy to find on the Pereire Metro line #3 and the RER train station Pereire-Levallois. There are a number of restaurants in the area, as well as bakeries, a Monoprix grocery store and a book store, to name a few. It is a clean and attractive hotel. The room for the three of us was comfortable. We stayed for 4 nights and felt quite safe and comfortable here. I would recommend it. Take a walk around and enjoy the neighbourhood you will be surprised what you find.

Quiet and very comfortable hotel close to Metro

Posted Apr 24, 2017
Pros: We liked the location and the comfortable room.
Cons: Nothing
Location: The hotel is not in the centre but you can easily get there on the metro. Restaurants and bars are nearby. To walk to the Champs Elysees is about 3km.
Everything about the hotel suited us. The staff were very helpful and polite. We asked for a different bed arrangement which was changed quickly. The room was so clean, the beds were comfortable and the hotel in general was quiet and calming. The breakfast was well worth adding to the cost. All the food was of top quality and well presented. The restaurants around the square provided lots of choice. The two we tried were the Brasserie and the steak place. You pay but the quality is excellent and it IS Paris. The Metro Perreire is very close, also the RER which got us directly back from the Eiffel tower. Hotel Ampere - we shall return.

Great Value and location

Posted Apr 22, 2017
Pros: Location and clean and the value
Location: close to a nice square that has lots of cafe options. Safe and quiet neighborhood, yet within a good walk to the major tourist attractions
Great location that is in a quiet residential area that is still walking distance 2-3 miles 1 way (if you like to walk the streets of Paris - we loved it). Close to a square that has lots of great cafe locations. Staff was all good, though 1 of the receptionists had a bit of an attitude. Tony the bartender is the best! Clean, and a great value.

A lovely stay in Paris

Posted Apr 20, 2017
We booked this hotel through Expedia, an easy process as always. A short city break meant we had 4 days in Paris at the Ampre. It was perfect, clean and spacious - friendly staff who were helpful and professional. Great location for the hotel, lovely restaurants, the room was great etc. No bad comments. I would recommend this to anyone going. It's outside a metro stop and the area is central to Paris but quiet enough to feel more removed from the hustle and bustle.
