Quintessential ParisPosted Jun 24, 2015 on Hotels
Quintessential Paris hotel! Excellent location on Ile St. Louis. Boulangerie and Fromagerie on the street, numerous cafes nearby. Walk a block and beautiful view of Notre Dame. Easy walk to the heart of the Left Bank.

Ideal location!Posted Jun 14, 2015 on Hotels
This was the ideal spot for our first trip to Paris! The proximity to Notre Dame, metro station, Latin Quarter, Marais, the Louvre, restaurants, shopping and more was fantastic. We found it challenging to find lodging for a family of four. At Hotel de Lutece, we were able to secure 2 adjacent rooms which worked out nicely. It was great for our kids to stay in a building built in the 1600s. I gave a very high rating, but be aware that I base this on location, character, outstanding service. The rooms are very basic, simple and comfortable. Yes, there is smoking on the street that you may deal with if your windows are open, but people smoke in Paris. It was worth the trade off to be in such a quaint neighborhood. There is a great bakery and several really good "ice cream" shops on the street. Creperie le Sarrasin, across the street and just a few doors down, at 86 Rue St Louis was a great place for breakfast and for crepes (dinner and sweet). Our last night in town there was a small band, complete with a few horns, serenading us with classic French songs with a few American ballads (My Way, Come Fly with Me, etc.) thrown in for good measure. If you are looking for a part of town that is still bustling, but a bit less crowded, this is the place.

Quaint and beautifulPosted May 24, 2015
Really enjoyed the location and atmosphere. Would have liked a bit more space though, the room was small. Otherwise the experience was great.

A comfortable stayPosted May 9, 2015 on Hotels
We've always been curious about this little hotel. We stayed the first two nights of a long trip and it was a perfect beginning. Our room was comfortable and spacious, the staff lovely and breakfast had everything we wanted. This neighborhood is one we go to when we visit so it was very nice to begin here. I would stay here again.

Ett litet hotell med mycket karaktär! Ligger på bästa området med gångavstånd till det mesta och mycket bra restauranger runt om. Lugnt och trevligt.

Perfect location and excellent staffPosted Apr 30, 2015
The title says it all. This is a wonderful boutique hotel on Ile St. Louis, an island in the heart of Paris. You are literally surrounded by the Seine on either side and only a few short blocks from Notre Dame. It's easily only a 5 minute walk to a Metro Station or directly on to the RER B & C lines. Very accessible and pedestrian friendly. No shortage of Berthillion Ice Cream, 3-4 stores on the block and around the corner. There is a small Supermarket right next door to grab supplies; bottled water, juice, milk, fruit etc. Front desk staff are extremely friendly and knowledgable. Will give you advice on restaurants and sites to see in different neighbourhoods as well as confirm your Metro routing. We arrived prior to check-in time of 2pm, at approximately 12:30pm. They were cleaning the room but we were told it would be ready in 30 minutes. We left our luggage at the hotel and went in search of some lunch. Came back 30 minutes later and the room was all set. The rooms are small, but hence the boutique hotel. Beds are also small and the only disappointment was not getting the two twin beds as requested. We settled for a small double which was not the most comfortable, but we made do. The bathroom that we had was unusually large, larger than we were expecting. It looked like it had recently been redone. We were on the first floor. Great location at the front of the hotel with a French Balcony. Not much noise from the street at night, but you can hear everything

Quiet Oasis in a big city!Posted Apr 28, 2015 on Hotels
This beautiful boutique hotel in Paris has it all - location, comfort, and style. Beautiful room with large, modern bath. Wonderful, friendly, English-speaking staff. Short walk to Notre Dame, national monuments, and metro. Lots of gourmet shops and restaurants nearby. We will definitely book with them again.
