great location

Hotel de Louvre was a delight,staff attentive but not overly in your face,great location for the louvre as you,d expect and the metro was on the doorstep to check-out the rest of Paris.Lovely touch was the complimentary bottle of wine delivered to our room when they knew it was my birthday.Would recommend the hotel to anyone.

Great Central Location

Pros: Its location.
Cons: The rooms & the website, to advertise the reality not the dream.
Location, Location, Location, this hotel is perfectly located, the staff were friendly, helpful & professional. The rooms!! I booked 2 nights online, choosing the room type from the available information & photos. The room I booked was a corner suite with a view, with contemporary furnishings. The room we were given was a corner suite with a view, tired & ripe for renovation. I did query this discrepancy with management, to be informed that they were undergoing renovations & not all rooms were renovated yet. To managements credit they did offer to upgrade us to a renovated room. My husband & I didn't take the up managements offer of an upgrade because (and I know this sounds lame -we were too tired to repack our bags & change rooms for just 2 nights). Had we been given the choice at check in we would have taken the upgrade & probably been happy to pay for it. To whoever sets up the website - its false advertising, all the room photos were of newly renovated rooms when in reality very few are renovated!!

Close to many attractions.

Pros: The entrance and restaurant are beautiful. And the staff were great!
Cons: The thermostat was not working and could be fixed. Make a garden in the inner courtyard instead of an ugly building.
Location: Many things to do nearby.
The hotel is close to the Louvre and is beautiful. The room on the other hand was not too great. The view is of the inner courtyard, which is filled with a large structure and wires.

Magnificent hotel well located in central Paris

Pros: It is a magnificent building, with architecture in accord with Napoleon III's palace of the Louvre which is only some 30 metre away. The service was excellent.
Cons: The quality of the food in the restaurant was disappointing and expensive compared with the that readily available from restaurants and cafes nearby. Only filter coffee was served at breakfast. There were no facilities for making hot drinks in the bedroom - not really a problem as excellent cafes available nearby.
Location: It is immediately adjacent to the Louvre and within easy walking distance of other important museums, the metro and bus tour stops.

Awesome Location - Great Staff -

The staff was fantastic and the hotel is charming. The rooms were a bit dated BUT the hotel will be undergoing a renovation. I would definitely stay here again.

Great Hotel with a Great Staff

We arrived earlier than check-in time, our room was not ready so we were up-graded to an executive suite. The hotel was very charming and the staff were extremely helpful and very attentive. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. We definitely would stay at this hotel again.

WHO IS CLEANING THIS HOTEL!

Pros: nothing. very dated
Cons: Change the people managing the hotel
I am paying close to $1000 for 2 nights. It has been a disaster. I checked in around 10 pm. waited for 35 mins as there were only 1 agent. No bellman. so you carry your bag. After getting to my room, I hit something on the floor. It was dirt, then walking all around the room, I keep noticing dirt all over. I spoke to the Front desk person, he said that he will the manager but did not offer any options. The next day, after the housekeeping cleaning the room, I asked her to take a look at the carpet. she said the hotel will be going under renovation. I asked if she can have someone clean the carpet. she asked someone to come and clean. The person cleaning the carpet never changed the water and spill some dirty water on the carpet. I could not walk on the carpet, the room smell like mold. NEVER NEVER AGAIN
