The hotel is a 20 minute walk from Gare du nord and easy to get to. It is in a good location with lots of lovely dining options, coffee shops and the metro close by. The rooms are a bit small which was expected, but modern and clean. The staff were amazing, especially the staff at the reception - they were very helpful and friendly. Ritesh and Jimmy were both fantastic. The cleaner was also very nice. We did consider having breakfast at the hotel and we went to have a look on our first morning there, we found the choices to be very limited and the area itself was pretty small. The lady working in this area failed to acknowledge us which also put us off. This didn't bother us too much as this gave us the opportunity to explore the different coffee shops near by. The hotel as a whole was lovely and we would definitely stay here again.

The staff at this hotel were incredible - they were friendly, willing to help, and provided us with a map so that we could navigate the city. The room was a bit small but I believe that it is normal for Paris standards. The room was still very comfortable. There was an elevator which made it easy when it came to transporting our luggage. The hotel room was clean and well equipped. Hotel is minutes away from the metro station so it was easy to access the city of Paris. The only slight downside, attractions felt a bit far if one chooses to walk. I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again!

Great value last minute booking
Having lost my passport and not been allowed to board my flight home, I had to book a last minute hotel on a Sunday evening. Hôtel du Plat d'Etain was great value for money in a central location. The room was spotlessly clean and newly fitted out. Great amenities in the room including a coffee maker with a range of different coffee capsules. The Japanese restaurant across the road provided a delicious and inexpensive meal.The bed was a little hard for my preference but would suit most people. Check in was smooth and staff were very welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. The excellent breakfast was especially noteworthy.

It was ok. Quite, the room was very small the pillows were flat as can be. It’s close to metro but to many guys just standing around was worrying to us also lots of prostitutes in the area around the metro in the evening.

Great location and great service.
We stayed in a triple room and it exceeded our expectations in terms of space and cleanliness. There was couple of problems with a/c and shower drain but these were dealt with swiftly. The hotel is very close to the metro and there are some nice restaurants close by that we enjoyed. The only downside is the area can seem a bit rough and some noise from outside can be heard from rooms. We had breakfast on one of the days which was good, only suggestion for improvement here is that clearing tableware was very loud in the small room. Would stay again if I want to stay in this area.

the hotel is located in very good location. Near to the Metro Station. surrounded with many restaurants and Bars. nice atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and always willing to help. two issues: 1) the rooms are very small. 2) they only accept to give one key, so if my wife wants to sleep, and i want to go out, i have to wake her up upun returning. this was very annoying!

Best stay in Paris
We stayed for nine nights. One night the headboard lighting malfunctioned and we spent a sleepless night. We spoke to the manager next day. Not only he assigned us a new room but also he offered us a free breakfast and a refund of one night stay. It was a generous offer and we sincerely thank him for his kindness. The hotel is surrounded by good restaurants and located within a short walk to the heart of Le Marais. A few Metro stations are nearby and it is very convenient to go to any of the sightseeing spots. During our stay we experienced two general strikes but we really had a great time. The hotel reception staff members are so friendly and put up with my bad French. It really made our trip something special. We would love to stay at this hotel when we visit Paris again.

Excellent friendly and comfortable stay
We had an excellent week long stay at the Hôtel du Plat d'Etain. A few blocks north of The Marais, this hotel's location was ideal for walking to see most of the main tourist sites in Paris. The hotel was also 2 blocks from the Metro station (Strasbourg/ Saint- Denis), which was ideal for rainy days when a subway ride was the preferred means of transportation. The rooms are very small, as is typical for most Paris hotels. That said, the room was comfortable and clean. The staff was extraordinarily friendly and helpful. They answered any questions we had and were quick to offer suggestions if we needed help. The neighborhood has restaurants and an excellent bakery nearby. Our room was on the north side of the building, facing the street, and it was notably quiet. We are so glad to have chosen this hotel. It was perfect for our trip. We would absolutely recommend it and would stay there again without hesitation.

Stayed 6 nights in Nov 2022 - myself and two adult daughters. The location was excellent - walking distance to Metro station. We walked to Marais district/shopping and Louve area. Small room but to be expected in Paris - good sized bathroom. Great bakery across the road. Area overall felt safe. Was a little noisy due to traffic on Blvd St Denis but figure most of Paris would be like that. Was clean with comfortable beds.

I didn't feel safe at the hotel. If you walked to the right, there were prostitutes and the streets were dirty with no food places and lots of graffiti. If you turned left, the streets were nicer with places to eat. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone. The room is too small, and the curtains, walls, and window sills were dirty.

Good hotel
Hotel is well located with the Strasbourg St Denis metro station 2 minutes away with access to lines 4 and 9. As it’s on a side street noise is minimal and I slept with the window open and no problem. Lift is very small so if you don’t want to wait or can’t use the stairs think twice about this.

A comfortable and clean room and a very friendly staff made for a pleasant stay here. Nice location in the 3rd arr. For security reasons they request you leave your key at the desk when going out, but the front desk is staffed around the clock, so it isn't a problem.
