Great locationPosted Oct 11, 2015
Pros: location, breakfast, comfortable bed, overall ambiance
Cons: The front desk staff could be kinder. Vanya was terrific, but the other people were kind of grumpy.
Location: Super close to a metro stop. Enjoyed the nearby restaurant Manfred.
Hotel is at a great location -- close to the metro. But it is not a major stop so we had to do a lot of transfers. However, if you can, don't spend so much time in the subway. Use buses and taxis. Paris is too beautiful a city to spend too much time underground. I was basically happy with the breakfast served (I think it is 10euro). It covered most of the bases and the coffee was the best I had in France! The weak link on this hotel is the reception staff. We were initially greeted by Vanya -- who is terrific. When asked, he had great suggestions for nearby restaurants and Euro Disney. He is such an asset to this hotel. However, the other reception people were grumpy -- which was unfortunate. Maybe they are working too many hours or something. I should also mention that the bed was quite comfortable and the overall ambiance of the hotel was quite pleasant.

Niedliches Hotel, optimale LagePosted Aug 30, 2015
Hotel liegt direkt an einer Metro Station. Größe und Design ist entzückend. Personal sehr höflich. Sauberkeit passt. Würde es für meinen nächsten Paris Aufenthalt wieder buchen. Supermarkt und Restaurants sind auch direkt vor Ort.

Convenient and friendly; a few internet issuesPosted Aug 25, 2015
Location: Lovely tiny bar/cafe close by called "La Lutece". Coffee starting at 1 euro -- not all that common in Paris!
Staff at this hotel were friendly and did their best to be helpful, offering good suggestions for dining in the neighborhood, transportation etc. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable. All in all we enjoyed our stay. The only criticism is that in our room (104) the internet rarely worked. As a result we had to use our (or the hotel's) computer in the lobby most of the time. Staff also had to keep giving us new passwords, since for some reason the hotel doesn't just use one password for all guests. This is a cumbersome and inefficient system for both the guest and the employees, and I strongly recommend streamlining it.

Nice little hotel in downtown ParisPosted Aug 17, 2015 on Hotels
Upgraded us to the studio room with no extra charge. Room was located next door to the hotel. Studio room was newly renovated with a kitchenette, and some very interesting small LED lighting that constantly changed colours, located above the bed. Unable to open the windows to the unit so it got quite stuffy and musty in the room. The hotel itself is situated off of a main road, down an alley, about a 20 minute walk from Notre Dame and the Seine River. Had no issues walking around the area, and it's close proximity to the subway line allowed us to go virtually anywhere in Paris without hassle. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nothing special, would not recommend paying for it, but the hotel is located right across the street from a supermarket. Overall, good value for the money, convenient for a short stay in Paris.

GREAT find in terms of location & comfortPosted Aug 6, 2015 on Hotels
I loved this hotel. It far exceeded my expectations. The location is ideal; Notre Dame is about 15 minutes walk and the Metro is a stones throw away. The area - the Marais - is quintissential charming Paris with great shops and cafes. I was even able to walk to Gare du Nord (20-25 minute walk). The hotel itself is a bit quirky in its decor (meant in a flattering sense). The common areas may be a bit worn looking but the room was very modern, well-maintained, comfortable and clean. The bed and sheets were the quality of a 4 or 5 star hotel. All-in-all, this was a great find. The staff very helpful and friendly. Keeping in mind it's a 3-star hotel, it's great value for the money. My only criticism is the continental breakfast. Coffee, OJ, and 3 baked goods was a bit disappointing. Would haven been nice to have some fruit, yogurt, cheese, etc. If it's not included in your room rate, I would bypass it and go to a local cafe.
