北駅に近いお値打ちホテル

レビューでは色々心配になること書かれてますが部屋や設備は問題ありません。 周辺環境ですが店などは少なく夜間は人通りも少なくちょっと心配かもしれません。

Random notes about the bathroom and cleaning

Posted May 20, 2016 on Hotels
The cleaning staff are tidy and actually come back later if you ask them to. The shower was good and comfortable. In our four-people room, it wasn't possible to lock the bathroom door (might be a problem just with this room). Always make sure you have toilet paper and soap. At one point we didn't have any garbage removed for like two days. The bathroom is spacious and my mum ended up keeping her suitcase there, placed on the fridge/minibar. Also, your bed will be ignored if you leave too much of your own stuff there. Staff generally leave the windows open after cleaning, although it can be quite cold in the room (ask for the air conditioner to be switched to heat mode if needed). I don't know if tipping the cleaners is expected/common in France or not, but here it was rejected. As I mentioned in my other review, the bathroom floor attracts dirt easily when wet.

Probably the best we could choose

Posted May 9, 2016 on Hotels
I literally spent hours looking for a hotel with a good internet connection and found this one. The net isn't perfect but it does work. Also, there's an elevator - often a problem in Paris. There are three metro stations within a walking distance - though initially they seemed a bit far away. The receptionists have been super-helpful and made various phone calls for us. All speak good English and one of them also speaks Russian. Curiously, there's only one key per room (actual key) and you have to leave it at the reception whenever you leave the room. Random note - try to avoid entering the bathroom when the floor is wet after cleaning (otherwise it gets really dirty). In general the hotel is much better than the one in a similar area where we stayed last time, despite both being three-star hotels.
