Nice hotel near shopping, food, and museums

Posted May 21, 2017
The hotel is small and cute. It is near many restaurants, cafes, and bakeries. It is walking distance to Saint Germaine des Pres (shopping and eating), the louvre (1.0mi) and the Notre Dame (0.8mi). If you're used to getting around big cities by foot, it's very easy to walk everywhere from the hotel. The eiffel tower is further away (1.7mi), but you can metro, uber, or take a cab if you're not in the mood for a long walk. I did not take the metro, but I heard it's easy, convenient, and near the hotel. Uber is also available around the city. Cabs aren't as expensive as I thought, but this may depend on the time of the day when the cab is requested. The hotel has breakfast and it looks nice, but I think you're better off going to the corner bakery, La Parisienne. It has very good pastries, crepes, and sandwiches at very reasonable prices. Depending on how much you order, you'll likely save money, and even if you don't save money, at least you get to have what you want to eat for breakfast (rather than croissants and cereal everyday). One of the highlights of the hotel, is that it's very near the luxembourg gardens. Literally, it's less than one block. If you exit the hotel, Make a left on rue madame, and then an immediate left on the street behind the hotel that intersects rue madame, you will be able to see the park. It's very beautiful and I highly recommend a visit to the park. There also is a running trail.

Good location, great staff, value for money!

Posted May 14, 2017
Cons: Tea--making facilities in room would be helpful.
Location: Central location on left bank in St Germain near huge park, cafes, shops, transport. Quiet & safe.
I booked single budget room which turned out to be twin so more space. Immaculately clean. Fab power shower. Hotel location excellent; small, quiet street in central 6th district just 100 metres from magnificent Luxembourg Gardens & many cafes. Best of all were the helpful, friendly desk staff: Laurent & Tambi. Would stay here again for cost, location & lovely staff.

Great hotel with good service by the staff. Location was right in the middle of Paris. Rooms were clean and toilet was very very clean. Only thing was that my room was quite small so it was kinda hard to move around. The lift is also dam slow

A True Find!!

Posted Jan 25, 2017 on Hotels
My first time here and chose it for the location (my fave for biz and pleasure), and price. Was very pleased that it was a newly re-decorated or re-done spot. The entrance was petit and but inviting. Off that was the breakfast room and lounge; roomy enough. The room was clean, comfortable and decorated in a contemporary style But the high point was the bathroom, not usually updated in older places. It was NEW and CLEAN!! AND HOT WATER, AND A GREAT SHOWER. The service was super; all staff were fluent in English and very hospitable. Near the RER and metro. Great area for runners. Will def return!!

Great location

Pros: Location
Cons: Nothing
Location: Luxembourg Gardens, St German, Montparnasse, walking distance to all main attractions. Didn't use transport all weekend.
Great location. Close to shopping, restaurants and metro stops. Plenty of local bus stops. Small room as expected, however pleasantly surprised with compact stylish shower room. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Nice touch that drink prices were not overpriced. Quiet area but five minutes from buzz of St German. Luxembourg Gardens very close. Lovely tearoom/bakers across road.

Paris nights

Posted Nov 6, 2016 on Orbitz
Pros: It is right next to a beautiful garden and metros are not too far. Safe neighborhood and good restaurants around.
Cons: The shower was pretty small . Bedding wasnt that comfortable
Location: Nice garden nearby. Restaurant across the street was good. Nightlife isnt that loud or entertaining like the other areas in Paris.
Staff was friendly/helpful. Wish the bedding was a bit better. The curtains are very artsy but a bit creepy since they have people on that tbat look like they are staring at you.

Aged but clean, friendly, great location off park

Posted Oct 31, 2016 on Hotels
Clean, very friendly, great hot water pressure in shower, small as expected, not noisy, 24 hr lobby attendant, no problems. Accommodated early departure with coffee before the breakfast was officially open. Furniture was worn, but clean and comfortable, as expected for the price. My family of four booked a "room for four" which ended up being two rooms next door to each other (not connected). Since we didn't need to use the rooms to be all together, it was helpful since we had two bathrooms. The only "space" in the rooms is on the bed, so not really set up for anything other than sleeping.
