Tight space but well located

Posted Dec 3, 2017
The Perreyve hotel is located by the beautiful Luxembourg gardens. It's an interesting older hotel. The staff is very helpful and a nice french breakfast is served in the morning. Plenty of coffee shops and restaurants outside the door. Like many Parisian establishments spaces are à little tight and may not be suited for seriously obese people.

great location

Stayed for a week while taking French class at nearby Alliance Francais. Perfect location. Easy to take bus/metro to anywhere and so delightfully close to Jardin de Luxembourg. Don't miss cheesecake at Bread & Roses across the street. Staff excellent and very helpful. Rooms small but clean. Good breakfast. Will stay there again because staff so nice.

Great location and comfortable for a few day stay

Posted Aug 2, 2017
Pros: Location
Cons: Better breakfast
Location: Excellent location - close to Jardin du Luxemburg, Senat building, place du Sulpice, Eglise "Notre Dame de Paris" etc.
Friendly personnel, clean room. Would prefer to have more choices in the breakfast Menu.

Good overall

Great location very near the Luxenbourg Gardens. Quiet except for obnoxious drunks (no surprise that they were Americans) going noisily to their room at 2am. Only downside with staff was that we requested a wake-up call and never got it. The desk attendant was sleeping.

Great location next near Luxembourg Gardens

Posted Jun 12, 2017 on Hotels
This is the second hotel I've stayed at near Luxembourg Gardens. While it was slightly more expensive than the other, overall it was not as nice. The room was about the size I'm accustomed to at boutique hotels in Paris (meaning small) but it could have used a makeover a decade or two ago, with the exception of the bathroom, which has been updated. Staff was friendly and everyone I talked to spoke pretty good english. I did not eat breakfast at the hotel so can't comment on that. The area is great being about a hundred feet from the park with lots of good cafe's and shops within easy walking distance. A city bike kiosk is just around the corner.

Thank you for your comments on your last stay wuth us. Indeed, bathroom were all completly renovated last year 2016. As fas as room deocation is concerned, it was all renovated (carpet, beds, curtains ...) in year of 2013 and not decade ago... Maybe you do not like the design and style... we have chosen typical parisian family house with different curtains... Best Regards, Hôtel Perreyve

Nice hotel near shopping, food, and museums

Posted May 21, 2017
The hotel is small and cute. It is near many restaurants, cafes, and bakeries. It is walking distance to Saint Germaine des Pres (shopping and eating), the louvre (1.0mi) and the Notre Dame (0.8mi). If you're used to getting around big cities by foot, it's very easy to walk everywhere from the hotel. The eiffel tower is further away (1.7mi), but you can metro, uber, or take a cab if you're not in the mood for a long walk. I did not take the metro, but I heard it's easy, convenient, and near the hotel. Uber is also available around the city. Cabs aren't as expensive as I thought, but this may depend on the time of the day when the cab is requested. The hotel has breakfast and it looks nice, but I think you're better off going to the corner bakery, La Parisienne. It has very good pastries, crepes, and sandwiches at very reasonable prices. Depending on how much you order, you'll likely save money, and even if you don't save money, at least you get to have what you want to eat for breakfast (rather than croissants and cereal everyday). One of the highlights of the hotel, is that it's very near the luxembourg gardens. Literally, it's less than one block. If you exit the hotel, Make a left on rue madame, and then an immediate left on the street behind the hotel that intersects rue madame, you will be able to see the park. It's very beautiful and I highly recommend a visit to the park. There also is a running trail.

Good location, great staff, value for money!

Posted May 14, 2017
Cons: Tea--making facilities in room would be helpful.
Location: Central location on left bank in St Germain near huge park, cafes, shops, transport. Quiet & safe.
I booked single budget room which turned out to be twin so more space. Immaculately clean. Fab power shower. Hotel location excellent; small, quiet street in central 6th district just 100 metres from magnificent Luxembourg Gardens & many cafes. Best of all were the helpful, friendly desk staff: Laurent & Tambi. Would stay here again for cost, location & lovely staff.

Good location of hotel

Great hotel with good service by the staff. Location was right in the middle of Paris. Rooms were clean and toilet was very very clean. Only thing was that my room was quite small so it was kinda hard to move around. The lift is also dam slow
