A great little hotel

Pros: Staff; comfort; location
Location: Mouffetard, Notre Dame, Musee Cluny; Saint Michel; Pantheon
A great little hotel with small (regular sized by Parisian standards :) ). The best thing is the staff - very friendly and very helpful!! Location is in Latin Quarter but just outside the crazy busy area - close enough to walk to all. This is not fancy but comfortable and a good value.

Pros: The room and bathroom was very clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh. The selection was large. They even had nutella packets. Joao at the front desk was very helpful.
Cons: I would like a double lock or chain on the door. But the front desk is manned at all times I believe.
Location: The location is very good. There are 2 busses out front and the metro is a 12 minute walk to port royal blue line.

Not a luxury hotel.

Pros: The best part of the stay was the staff, very helpful with directions, suggested transportation, etc. Thankfully, the staff moved us from the assigned first floor room to 5th floor that we requested and allowed an early check-in and late check-out. Breakfast was also pleasing with lots of fresh choices.
Cons: We booked this room after seeing it on several sites, including a luxury flash site. Upon arrival, we were disappointed at the lack cleanliness in the lobby and public restroom, and the lack of orderliness behind the front desk. We were somewhat relieved when we arrived at our room, which was smallish, but clean and bed was comfortable.
Location: Right on the bus line headed toward Luxembourg Gardens and Metro. Latin Quarter is a convenient area to Notre Dame.

Pros: Good location, reasonable prices.
Cons: No restaurant and small lounge Far from metro or train station
Location: Close to nearby restaurants.
Small hotel with small rooms specially the bathrooms. Good if you use it only for turning in at night. No restaurant or a good spaceday lounge. Good breakfast. Centrally located.

Pros: The comfortable, clean look and feel; the wonderful, helpful, informative staff. Location offers what you need and easy access to everything else.
Cons: Wifi. Worked mostly okay but occasional problems.
Location: Twenty minute walk to Seine, Notre Dame, Louvre, etc. Bus and metro close by takes ten minutes. Fabulous Rue Mouffetard very close for eating/shops.
Excellent value in comparison to other hotels. We are two adults with two teenage daughters. Most other hotels we looked at offered one (small) room with two double beds. We received two fairly spacious adjoining rooms, each with a bathroom, which made a huge difference. I don't know if this is standard. And, we were lucky to be upgraded to a room with a classic Paris decorative ironwork balcony looking out onto city streets (not too many rooms in this hotel have one). The whole hotel is exceptionally clean and comfortable with delightful, helpful staff (Joao, Mohand and all others). Beds comfortable and linen/towels good quality. Wonderful water pressure and temperature. The hotel's look is comfy traditional and appears to have received some updating within the past couple of years. We chose location in Latin Quarter (5 Arrond.) for a more natural, local experience of the city. Photos on web site are accurate.

Convenient location

Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Lighter room Refurbished carpets
Location: Notre Dame - 20 mins walk Pantheon - 15 mins walk Rue Mouffetard - 10 mins walk with plenty of restaurants.
Great, convenient location. We were given the ground floor apartment, which was, although clean, a bit old, dark and in need of refurbishment. The room size was good enough for four adults. The breakfast was reasonable for the price, although again the tables and chairs were a bit too close together making it difficult for guests to get in and out of their seats. The staff however were very friendly, and helpful with getting the taxi booked and storing our bags for the late departure.

Pros: The bathrooms.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind.
Location: We didn't have time to really explore the area. We immedately went to the big tourist spots.
We were only there for a day but the hotel was very comfortable. The rooms were quite nice and the bathrooms were extremely roomy.

Excellent Staff

Pros: Staff
Cons: hair dryers
All of the staff here are friendly, helpful and have excellent English. Location is good for Latin Quarter restaurants and not too far from many attractions like Luxembourg Gardens and Notre Dame. The room was bigger than you often get in Europe, clean and tastefully decorated. We even had a tiny balcony with flowers (though I think there are only a couple of rooms like that). Breakfast was ample, served in the basement which heightened your sense of being in the Old World. The only real disappointment was the hair dryer which was not up to the job--bring your own if this is an issue for you!

Loved this hotel . Definitely not in the tourist part of Paris but if you want a perfect example of Parisian charm this is for you.Plus the nicest sweetest staff ever, I would say the only draw back would be for people with walking difficulties due to how far the metro is and the hilly streets, but we loved it here and when in Paris this is our new home.
