Good Hotel for the price.

Posted Mar 31, 2017
Reasonable price for city center. Good in all respects except one, my room was too hot (was end of March, warm weather outside). I didnt sleep much because of the heat. I was there for one night, I'd probably adapt to the heat if staying longer. Cant expect air conditioning at this price.

Very comfortable beds fairly close to everything

Posted Feb 22, 2017
The advertisement is very misleading. Gare du Nord is NOT 10-15min walk from the hotel. However, Gare de l'Est is. The rooms are small but if you don't mind and just want a bed to sleep on for fairly reasonable prices then this is the place!!! Beds were SOOO comfortable! We took Uber to get around because of the fear of pickpocketing in the metro but the metro is only about a 5min walk from the hotel as well. Staff was excellent. The conditions of the hotel was fairly old and worn out but that's everything in Europe in general really. This is more for backpackers passing through or low maintenance people like myself who just wants a place to sleep on. Very worth it

nice hotel

Posted Jan 6, 2017
The bad. We had booked adjoining rooms, but were given rooms near each other. Travel with kids this was not a good change. They offer a nice breakfast, but it is not included with the room. We thought it was included, but had to pay for four breakfasts for each day on our stay at check out. Had not planned that. Other than the non-adjoining rooms and having to pay for breakfast it was a good experience. The rooms and hallways are small and a little tight, but probably what you would find in other hotels in the area. The staff was very nice and friendly. They were very helpful with directions and how to get around the area. The are is a little out from the main tourest area of Pairs, but is very quiet. It is only a few minutes away from the EST train station and about 15 min walk to the Nord station. The metro station is about a 10 minute walk and only a couple of stops to the main areas. There are restuarants, bars and stores within 5-10 minute walk

Dear Guest, Thanks for your feedback concerning Hotel Soft. We're pleased to read you enjoyed your stay in our hotel. As you pointed out, we're set in a zone of transportation, with railway stations Gare de l'Est and Gare du Nord nearby. Three metro lines are also around as well as a wide range of recommended restaurants and shops. Your nice words about the good quality of service and reception will be conveyed to the whole staff. We take good note of your remarks and are sorry for the misunderstanding. However, as specified, the breakfast is not included in the booking price. Taken in the lobby, it costs 12€ and can be served in the room for an extra 2 € fee. We look forward to receiving you soon again. A. Pirbay, director.

Nice hotel well situated

Posted Jul 29, 2016
Pros: Location, decor
Cons: Air conditioning
Location: Eat, enjoy canal St Martin atmosphere, get into centre easily
Although near two railway terminals and just off a main road, this is a relatively quiet and unpretentious hotel, modern in devor and facilities. Comfortable bed and unobtrusive service.

Dear Guest, Thanks for sharing the experience of your stay with us. As you noticed, we are located in a quiet street, not far from Gare de l'Est and Gare du Nord railway stations where eurostar and thalys train arrive. A stroll along Canal Saint Martin (3 mn), a visit at Arts et Métiers museum (12 mn) or Georges Pompidou Modern Art Museum (20 minutes) worth the try. Thanks for mentioning the modern facilities and your bed's comfort. Your nice word about the service is appreciated. Thanks for the compliment. Note that every room has an electric fan for the summer period. We have several stand alone air conditioning units available for free. Don't hesitate to ask at the reception. We hope to have the pleasure to welcome you once again.

Great Find

Posted Jun 20, 2016 on Hotels
Just 10 minutes walk south of Paris Nord in a vibrant neighbourhood close to Canal Saint Martin. Lots of small bars and restaurants within 2/10 minutes walk. The canal area is charming and film buffs will love the area. Our room was a decent size for Paris and had a fridge which was great for keeping our water and wine cold. If you don't mind street noise, request a room at the front. Free coffee and snacks available in reception during the afternoon. I would recommend taking a canal trip with Canaixrama, great value and reasonable priced wine on board. Only 30 minutes walk to Monmartre. I would definitely stay here again.

perfect location for stopover via train

Posted Apr 5, 2016
Pros: Great location, clean, modern, friendly helpful staff. Let us have room early as it was ready - an unexpected bonus for us.
Cons: Washbasin is nice and modern but corner edge is too close to toilet... hard to change this as it's new.
Location: handy for Gare de l'est metro and taxi rank. Nice cafes in neighbourhood.
Stayed here en route by train from London to Munich - great overnight stop and chance to see some of the main sites. My second stay here.
