Great position and lovely staff

Posted May 15, 2017
Lovely hotel. Very reasonably priced and great position in a quiet side road near the centre of town, very handy for people arriving on the Eurostar at the Gare du Nord. Room was comfortable and very clean, and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Would certainly stay there again.

Cool, quirky, excellent value for money

Small hotel, but perfect for my needs. Staff were very friendly, room was small (as expected), but nicely decorated and very clean. Close to a few different Metro stations on a quiet street, I'd definitely stay here again. Only complaint was that the enormous rain-style shower head in a very small shower made it slightly difficult to shower, but that's a minor issue. Perfect for a single traveler, but it would have been a tight fit for a couple.

Lovely staff, great location , some tired decor

Posted Apr 13, 2017
Pros: Staff, buzz and location.
Cons: Some decor and bathrooms.
Location: Walk Rue Rivoli, pass the Louvre, the river, have a ride on the wheel. Sightseeing and shopping along the way - do again at night to see the lights.
Staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Food was basic, self service but good, quite a nice little canteen area, quite sociable. I had a room on the 2nd floor, which had a very nice space and lovely big windows opening onto the street. My colleague was on the 4th flloor and the room was much smaller for him and the toilet area was very awkwardly positioned for a tall / large built man to use comfortably. Room negatives for me the bathrooms, There were a few broken items and some parts like the toilet flusher and shower, that just needed attention/upgrading. Some maintenance that had been done, was not to good standards and let the room down. Decor in the rooms/en suites and stairway was rather dated. Hotel front is lovely and impressive - lovely plants, the reception looks quite nice too and the fresh flowers in reception and at breakfast were a lovely touch. Location is pretty good, literally took us about 10 minutes to walk from the GDN. Price was pretty reflective of the accommodation.

Couldn't fault the hotel, especially for the price. Stayed in one of the newer rooms and it was brilliant, very clean and modern. Staff were really friendly and helpful and the communal areas were lovely too. The area is really handy for Gare du Nord as well as lots of great bars and restaurants. Couldn't recommend highly enough for the price and location!

Do you need strong and consistent Wi-Fi?

Posted Jan 10, 2017 on Hotels
This is nice little hotel at an excellent location tucked away on a quiet street. It is clean, safe and the front desk staff are great. That said, I have stayed at this hotel many times over the last several years and have noted that depending on the floor and the suite, Wi-Fi access can range from good to practically non-existent. During my most recent stay, I was in a room where the Wi-Fi signal strength was at its lowest and the connection kept dropping. Ironically, the signal strength was best in the stairwell, but ofcourse having to exit the room to get emails is not desirable. So, if you are looking to stay at HT, know that Wi-Fi access from your room may be an issue, although in the lobby getting access to Wi-Fi was not a problem.

Good central location to reach all the main areas

Posted Oct 23, 2016
Friendly, helpful staff and a warm welcome. Clean and very decent hotel at a very reasonable price. Comfortable pleasant room. The hotel is situated on a quiet side street but very close to the metro and many restaurants and amenities. Many areas of the city are easily walkable from this location. A good trip and thank you Hotel Taylor

A relatively inexpensive hotel that was very fine.

Posted Oct 3, 2016
Cons: Would have been nice to have a computer guests could use. They say they are going to install one when their renovations in the lobby are complete.
Location: Convenient location for the Marais and St. Martin Canal. However, the location on a little side street with little foot traffic seemed unsafe.
Very clean, quiet and pleasant. Helpful and friendly staff. I liked the hotel very much and as a single person felt very safe.

Great room and great location!!

Pros: Room and staff were great!!! Great location.
Location: La Dispensa restaurant located on same street was delicious. Metro 5 min walk. Laundromat around corner.
Hotel lobby under construction & you wouldn't expect from looking at stairs or hallway but room was great!! Looked newly renovated, spacious, clean, beds very comfortable, and nice amenities like coffee, tea, and pound cakes in room. Staff was very helpful with restaurant recommendations. La Dispensa on the same street as hotel was delicious!!! Hotel 5 minute walk to Republique metro station.
