Great location

Posted Jan 16, 2017
Pros: The location is really good, close to bars, restaurant and metro station. Bathroom was lovely and clean.
Cons: Could do with a hoover and some of the decor was a bit tired
Location: Great location, can walk to bars, restaurants, the Pompidiou Centre and the Seine
Easy to book in and staff were not too in your face. Didn't have any hot water one morning and found our key card wasn't working, compensation was a "sorry"!!

No hot water and the staff lied about it!

Posted Jan 8, 2017
We stayed two nights in this hotel without any hot water since we checked in in the morning of Christmas day, we told the front desk there was no hot water in our room, and the lady said it would be fixed soon. So every time when we were in and out of the hotel, we asked the staff if it was being fixed, and every time we got the answer "yes". However, it was never fixed for the two days of stay, and when we asked the manager what was happening, it turned out nobody was fixing it. We asked for room exchange, and was told the entire hotel was out of hot water. We asked why they were lying at the beginning, he made so many excuse, and didn't apologize a bit what they had done. We pointed out the fact he was there when the staff was lying, and he said he was not the manager and knew nothing, and there was no manager in the hotel. I have traveled over 20 years, and this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed, with such rude and indifferent attitude towards customers. Ironically, on the front door it shows a mark of four star, what kind of four star hotel this is!

Lovely staff, tiny room

Posted Jan 3, 2017
Pros: This hotel was great in terms of: warm and genuinely friendly staff, stylish and tasteful décor, the street the hotel is in is charming and vibrant.
Cons: Room 201 was tiny. I'm 5ft 10 and my legs overhung the bed. There was barely enough room for 2 people. The bathroom was only just usable.
Location: Street is beautiful, mainly pedestrianized with great cafe's and restaurants. Beware taxi at Gare du Nord station asks 85Euro's when true cost is 15!
If we were given a decent sized room, I would have rated this hotel very highly. Everything else was excellent, but even for an old, city centre hotel the room whilst tastefully decorated was barely useable for two people. Maybe other rooms are better? We saw room 501 and it was much better.

Paris Fashion Week

Posted Oct 3, 2016
Pros: perfect location to travel to and from appointments.
Cons: The room was very small for me, however it was comfortable.
Location: a great selection of bars, restaurants and shops close to the hotel.
A very successful trip business was successful, also being so close to the many bars and restaurants made the whole trip stress free.

Nice comfortable hotel in an excellent area

Posted Jun 7, 2016
Pros: The hotel is quant and nice and a bit chic. The rooms are small but efficient and clean, with nice bathrooms. Great location!
Location: Everything you could want was walking distance and it was close to a metro station that could get you anywhere in Paris. Great spot
The hotel is quant and nice and a bit chic. The rooms are small but efficient and clean, with nice bathrooms. The air conditioning when we were there in beginning of June was not "turned on yet" in the building - which made it a bit stuffy would be my only discomfort. But that said, it did have great floor to ceiling window/french doors you could open overlooking the great cobblestone street lined with shops, cafes and lovely people bustling about. The staff was sufficiently nice. So while, no coffee maker, and "seasonal only air conditioning" type of amenities, the location was spectacular. Gorgeous pastry shops, cafes, fruit stands, chocolate, cheese shops and great restaurants with tons of outdoor seating lined the avenue. It was great to have everything you could want within walking distance. The area is closed off to cars so it is only a fabulous pedestrian area. Really loved it! Would stay here again

Smoky rooms and pushy staff

Posted May 21, 2015
Rooms were cramped and smoky. The lady who checked me in was nice but the guy who checked out was very rude. Tried to push his buddy's cab on me and argued why his cab was better than uber.

Nice hotel in a lively location

Posted Jun 25, 2014
Cons: If the street facing rooms had better sound insulation, the choice of listening, or not listening, to the street would be up to the guest.
A nice small hotel in a great and lively location. It's situated in the center of a 5 block long pedestrian zone, with lots of restaurants within a two minute walk. A potential downside is that the street is relatively loud until late at night. My wife and I enjoyed this, but if you won't be aware that we could clearly hear it in our street facing room.

Great location!

Posted Jul 1, 2013
Pros: From friends who love the location - and we loved the location as well!
We had two rooms. One was decent sized and one was very small. There was a leak over the sink that dripped on our head and the toilet ran.
