Within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower

Posted Mar 17, 2017
Pros: Appreciated the white bedding and towels as well as the very helpful young man at the front desk during the day.
Cons: A few touch ups are required. Older building meaning walls are not soundproofed.
Location: Close to metro stations, numerous cafes and shopping.
Quiet location. Room was clean and bed was comfortable.

Not the same charming Hotel it once was.

Posted Feb 12, 2017
Pros: The neighborhood, will be trying out other hotels close by.
Cons: Please bring it back to the charm it had when I first went there in 1996.
Location: Short walk to the Eiffel Tower, plenty of affordable small family restaurants within walking distance. Also pastry shops and markets.
I have stayed at this hotel several times over the past 20 years, my last 5 trips to Paris, this was the only hotel I considered staying at. The neighborhood is very peaceful, with plenty of shops and restaurants near by and convenient to the Metro. Not touristy, but more residential. During our last visit we were told that the hotel had new owners. When we got to our rooms we discovered that the mini refrigerators and coffee makers had been removed. The WiFi was hit or miss in the rooms, and the TVs did not get cable reception, we mentioned the TV issue to the front desk, they said they would look into it. Nothing changed the 3 days we were there. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was accommodating with requests for supplies not restocked in the rooms and when asked for help making train reservations.

Great spot for exploring downtown Paris by foot or train. Shopping nearby. 24 hour staff on the desk.

Speedy check in. Spoke good English which was a plus. Room was typical of European hotel and as advertised. Good central location for shopping amd metro station. AMAZING pastry shop on the corner, ate there each morning. Great all around experience for my wife and I! You cannot beat the quality and hospitality for the price.

Quiet short stay

Small and clean room. Good for a short stay. Part of the hotel is under renovation. The surrounding area is nice, quiet (residential) and 10 min to Tour Eiffel. They have an agreement for close car park facilities.
