Hotel was old fashioned but clean and tidy. Great area. Was super close to the metro, but easy enough to walk places. Staff were friendly.

Perfect location for using as a base.

Posted Oct 1, 2015
Pros: Staff, location, cleanliness - bathroom was lovely :)
Cons: Pillows - like sleeping on a piece of wood. Also the ability to make a coffee or tea in the room is something which would be good.
Location: 10 minutes from Gard de Nord. Plenty of restaurants nearby and perfect to get around on the local transport.
Perfect location for using as a base for sightseeing - lovely staff and lovely room

Close to Gare du Nord and Paris Est.

Although some reviewers complained a bit about the area, I like staying in the 9th. Hotel Williams Opera is perfect if you are looking for a clean, safe, comfortable place close to everything Paris has to offer. The staff were all friendly and helpful. When I experienced a very minor problem, it was resolved within 10 minutes. WiFi is available in your room for 10 Euro for your entire stay. A room safe is also in the room. You might want to bring extra hair conditioner as they offer a combined shower soap/shampoo. No air conditioner but the fan they provide is adequate.

Good for the price

Posted Aug 18, 2015
I stayed here with two friends and managed to find a very good price for this hotel online. The rooms are not super luxurious but we were out all day every day anyway so didn't mind. The showers however, are amazing!!!! It's in a great location for exploring Montmartre - Moulin Rouge, Sacré-Coeur etc all in walking distance and the metro is just around the corner to go into central Paris.

Basic hotel close to shops, restaurants and metro

Posted Aug 6, 2015
Pros: Near good restaurants and shops with easy access to the metro
Cons: Décor was a bit tired. Balcony could have been cleaner.
Location: Good selection of restaurants and shops nearby. Easy access to the metro line into central Paris.
Although the room was clean it was small with few facilities. The bathroom was clean although a bit shabby with some broken tiles in the shower area. The balcony provided a good area to get some fresh air however it could do with being cleaned. The hotel is near good restaurants and shops with easy access to the Metro.

Old building with musty smell every where.

Posted Jun 25, 2015
Pros: Wifi extremely slow
Cons: Carpet need to replaced, smelly.
Location: Took Metro to Louve, Ifle Tower, Rodin, Piccasso museums.
Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. No A/C, not enough electric outlet, close to Metro. Over-rated and over-priced.

In serious need of refurbishment!!

Posted Jun 22, 2015
The location is ok, a short walk from Cadet metro station, but the hotel is located in a square that contains a small park. This park is very noisy during the day with children playing, and can be noisy at night too with people using it to party in. If the windows of the room closed properly, the noise probably wouldn't have been an issue, but as they were large doors, they didn't lock at the top and it was too high to reach to push them in. The bathroom also doesn't have any kind of curtain, and despite having frosted glass, this doesn't work too well at night with a light on! The shower door didn't close properly either, so water seeped out all over the floor, the shower head was also slightly broken and allowed water to spray out upwards as well as downwards, this was also combined with the drain not clearing very quickly, so the shower tray came close to over flowing. The general decor of the room was also very tired, with an old fashioned bed spread. The lift was also very strange as it stopped on the stairs between floors, so you still had to carry your bags up/down at least 1 flight of stairs. This hotel could be a nice little place with a make over/freshen up.

The constant retrade of what was included sucked

Posted Apr 9, 2015
Pros: I like the more authentic quircky places like this
Cons: Shower curtain.
Location: Location is great.
The night desk clerk was kinda creepy and leaving him the key to your room seemed unsafe. They did Clean the room and I know on price it's what we paid for mostly. The Wifi had to be refreshed constantly--was easier to go to the restaurant next door.
