Terriible and rude lady receptionists

The hotel had no separate concierge , cashier or reception. The two people at the front desk did everything and the lady receptionists were all very impatient, impolite and uncaring. The male dooremen were good though and so were the chambermaids. I was travelling with two young children and they refused to extend the check-out time until after lunch so our luggage was taken down during our lunch. However a rucksack was forgotten in the room. There was no system of recording forgotten items after check-out. We lost something and had to call from home and the lady who picked up the phone told me she was the Director. It surprised me for a hotel like Hyatt that a Director would pick up the phone directly. She said there was no system of lost and found and she had to speak to the housekeeping manager . Unfortunately the housekeeping manager was on leave and that was why it took this So-called Director very long to reply. After 4 days I am still not sure whether the lost item had been found. One time I called and a woman who picked up the phone claimed she was the Manager. I later found out from the Director that she was not . The manager was on leave and this woman was only the assistant acting front desk manager . Her tone was unbelievably rude. She even argued that assistant manager and manager were the same thing. As she was so rude , I asked if Hyatt had a telephone recording system to monitor their staff but she said no. She declined to tell me her surname

Lovely stay, very comfortable bed and lovely bathroom. Staff were generally very friendly and attentive, especially Betty at breakfast! Great location within walking distance to shopping centre and the Batobus stop.

Big disappointment in room we are hyatt members

Cons: alot read the review.
Location: close to everything you want to do.
First day the ceiling out of the mini bar closet fell on my head. They put it back it fell out again!! The bathtub would not hold water, The safe did not work in the room. The a/c would not cool the room down enough for us to sleep. Had feather pillows on bed and comforter. This bothered my allergies was up all night sneezing. They never did get the safe to work we had to put our items in the hotel safe at front desk. We were party of 4 with 2 rooms. We ate at the restaurant at hotel and I ended up sick all night and was unable to go to activities next day!!! Missed the Eiffel Tower tour had to forfeit my ticket. Lost $50 on that tour. Had fish it smelled funny but at it anyways and paid big time for it. The best the hotel could offer for all our troubles was my dinner refunded. I would not stay here again. We are hyatt members and stay at other hyatts never had this experience before. Has to be just this hotel.

Outstanding Hotel Stay

The Paris Hyatt Madeleine hotel has excellent service, a modern decor and a great location. The staff at the door, desk, concierge, lounge, restaurant and house keeping went one step beyond my expectations at every interaction. Everyone was friendly & helpful. They seemed genuinely interested that we enjoy our stay and made many helpful recommendations. It is a smaller boutique style hotel that is unpretentious. The lobby & lounge are small, but comfortable and attractive. The room was adequately sized with 5 star amenities. The bathroom was surprisingly large and modern. The location is well situated near great shopping, restaurants, museums, the metro and many attractions.

Nice hotel, great location

Well appointed rooms, great staff, extremely friendly. Location is close to metro and is within walking distance of both landmarks. Great restaurants in the area.

Very pleasant and quiet hotel

Pros: Cleanliness and quietness was a plus.
Location: Hotel was several blocks from Madeleine Church, 20 min. walk to the Opera and Lafayette Dept. store, and 40 min.walk to the Louvre for us seniors.
Greeted by very gracious staff, always helpful and friendly. Excellent service. Wonderful breakfast buffet and breakfast menu was included in our reservation. We had a beautiful weeks stay in Paris.

Great location, excellent staff and service. We traveled with two young children, and staff were very helpful throughout- tickets, reservations, child care, room service!
