Good hotel for undemanding travelersPosted Sep 18, 2016 on Hotels
Price is reasonable for location and conditions. No lift, so you have to bring your luggage upstairs on your own. I have requested the first floor and got it. Bed linen was clean, towels were changed every day. Not good sound isolation as you can hear neighbours. The staff is very responsive and helpful. Many eateries around and supermarket is very near.

Older hotel, small rooms, good location, nice staffPosted Apr 23, 2016 on Hotels
The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is old with worn carpets and furnishings, room is small. Water pressure in shower is good, room appeared clean. Location is good for those traveling by train, within a 10 minute walk of the Gar de L'Est, a little farther to Gar du Nord. Close to a metro station. I wouldn't feel comfortable walking in the neighborhood late at night if I were a single female.

Best hideaway in PAris.Posted Mar 3, 2016 on Hotels
Although tucked away in a side street off a busy boulevard, your room becomes a peaceful sanctuary from the bustling city. Shower has the best pressure and the hottest water one could want. Not surprised hotel had no vacancies daily. Overall the best value for the price.

Bargain Paris HotelPosted Jan 18, 2016 on Wotif
Pros: Staff Clean Location
Cons: Stairs but hey keeps you fit and cost avoided by not having a lift is passed onto you ..... yay!
Location: Bus to key sites is handy
For a bargain price in Paris you would not expect much however we got a lot. The actual owner seemed to have his finger on the pulse and was located at the front desk. To get to the Arch De Triomphe *spelling!! you simply take a bus at the end of the street wheich is great. It is a 10 minute walk from Gare Du Nord. The place seemed to be constantly cleaned which was great. The only bad things is the stairs there which will be a nuissance if you have heavy bags or struggle with flights of spiralling stairs but hey it keeps you fit and the savings on not maintaining a lift are passed onto you!

Small, dirty room with broken electric sockets and wires hanging from the wall. No lift, room stunk some insect repellent - see previous feedback about bed bugs. Not nice and not safe neighbourhood. Overall - not recommended, specially when you staying with children.

Just a place to sleep at night. Staff were lovely. Room was small but that's to be expected in Paris. Bathroom had a really loud fan whenever the light was turned on got a bit annoying after a while. The WiFi worked really well. Only 5 min walk to the gare de l'est so easy to get places. there was gangs of people hanging around outside at night it was a bit intimidating at first but after a day or two realised they weren't up to anything

The staff was cool; but the hotel is terrible! We were on the 5th floor and there was NO LIFT!! The shower's tap is on the way of the water, so if you complete under the water, you close your tap?!! Ridiculous... I do NOT recommend.

Small hotel in ParisPosted Oct 10, 2015
Pros: Friendly owners and staff
Cons: Stair carpets. Less noisy door bell and stairs
Location: South of Gare Du Nord. Lots of reasonable price bars, restaurants, shops etc.
This is a family run hotel about 15 minutes walk from Gare Du Nord. The room for 1 person was very small and the furniture very basic. However the room and shower were clean. The bed was comfortable. There was noise as people moved up and down the stairs. The stairs carpets were dirty. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. If you want a budget hotel with very basic facilities in Paris then this is for you.
