Clean and comfortable room. AC is only available in summer, once fall officially begins AC is inoperable regardless of outdoor temperature. The day we arrived (in October) was really hot. By night it had cooled down enough that we could open the window for an hour to cool the room. There was no sleeping with windows open as it was too noisy outside. Fans were provided on request which helped a lot. Rooms are on the small side. Location was great. Walking distance to Versailles, my 77 year old mom was able to walk there and back without a problem. 5-8 min walk to bus stops. 15 minutes to RER C and L line from Paris (hotel is between the two stations). We felt very safe waking the streets at night and early morning. We did opt to take the bus to RER at 5:30 am rather than walk due to nearly deserted streets and darkness at that hour, but still felt very safe doing so. Overall great value and would stay here again.

Nice hotel.guiet and comfortable bed.nice staff team.the train station is across the road and taking the fast train took us 7 mins to get to centre of paris.

Clean and comfortable hotel for few days stay in Versailles very convenient for the palace,restaurants and shops.Train station 15 minutes walk. Breakfast was adequate and staff friendly and helful. The only negative was the air conditioning was not very cold which in the hot weather made the room uncomfortable.

This is an okay hotel very convenient for Palace of Versailles . Breakfast is okay for the cost .I reserved a parking space for the night but there is street parking which is payable between 0900 and 1800.The lifts had just broken and reception kindly relocated us on a lower floor. For the cost I would recommend the hotel.

Room doors make a very loud noice when being closed. I woke up a couple of times at night because of that. No bottled water in the room. No service lift so staff with all their equipment go in the same lift as guests.

The room we had was very dirty. Housekeeping needs to learn what dusting means. We had room 104 which was located behind the kitchen. Both mornings about 3.30-4.00, was banging and tapping sounds from the breakfast being prepared. Finally quiet around 5am. Ahh breathe a sigh of relief. Finally we can get back to sleep. That’s when the staff decide to have a chat. Very frustrating. Also there is a strip light in the hanging section. This flashed a bright light (looked like lightning) every 45 seconds. I know because I was so awake and angry, I counted it. So if you want a good nights sleep, don’t stay here. They are also skimpy on tea bags, sugar etc. Did not like this hotel at all. Won’t be staying at Mercure anymore.

Fantastic place to visit Versailles Palace
After a horrible experience in Hotel Edward 6 (Montparnasse, Paris), we arrived to this wonderful place were we were received by kind and helpful people. We arrived at 1 am with little babies and the receptionist was super accommodating. Everyday we were received with a smile and any questions were answered with true concern for our needs This is also a great place to explore iconic places of Versailles

The property was very stylish and located in a quiet road in Montburon area. We were lucky to have a room where we could the palace of Versailles from our window which was fab, and unexpected. We enjoyed the various places to eat, including the Marketplace and Sartory areas nearby.We also picked up some items at the local supermarkets. We did have to ask for various items like cups, coffee and milk which were all readily available from reception. I would wholeheartedly recommend this gorgeous hotel.

Great staff and a good stay - would go back.
Excellent staff,very friendly and tremendously helpful. The room is a bit tight, but fine, and the breakfast is good. The one slight drawback is the positioning of the bathroom with a sliding perpex door - which was a bit too 'intimate' at times. :-) The hotel is well situated for the Chateau and the town and also for an easy train ride to Paris. Staff were very helpful in contacting me when we left something in the room after leaving.

Very good hotel in Versailles
A small but very comfortable hotel close to all amenities - chateau 15 minutes, station 10 minutes, restaurants nearby. Only 30 minutes by train to the centre of Paris. Room a little small, but well equipped, comfortable and warm (very cold outside). All staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend for a short stay in Versailles.

Great location! About a ten minute walk to Versailles and in a very safe location. Cafes were also close by. Most of the staff was very friendly, especially the two women who checked us in. Air conditioning was ok and the towels were a little thin and rough but manageable. The biggest problem was the see through door in the bathroom. It's cloudy but you can still see the person in the bathroom so if you are traveling with someone besides a significant other it's a little bit awkward... it could also be a little awkward with a significant other.

Perfect voor een weekend in Versailles
Zeer goed hotel, lekker en verzorgd hotel. Enige minpunt zijn de matrassen - deze liggen door. Erg proper, alles mooi verzorgd. Er is een zeer beperkte parking voorzien, maar is perfect voor wat nodig is. Het personeel moet steeds de poort van de parking openen en sluiten - hierover wordt niet duidelijk gecommuniceerd, waardoor je steeds moet uitstappen om dit te vragen. Niet erg praktisch.
